I've heard many nonreligious people say this before, god doesn't often get much of the blame when things go terrible for people......

.....and more often than not, other people are blamed but usually not god. Why do you suppose this is?

I follow the concept that God created the Big Bang and ensured the proper ingredients would come together to make earth and eventually humans.

After that, God took a hands off approach with a few exceptions throughout history.

So with that belief, I see no reason to blame God.

How come your poll doesn't include an option for (a) being religious and (b) not blaming God at all?

"I don't blame God usually" implies a certain amount of blame being thrown God's way which is not how I see it.

I have read Snow Crash. It's setting and themes are extremely interesting (the fact that the country is leased by corporations, the whole metaverse, Snow Crash itself) but the plot and characters never really clicked with me. Case already does.

I might reread it because I am tempted to Marathon Stephenson cause I am insane
