You can break it if you tap on Magikarp over and over for a long time, then when you reach level 20 or level up again if you're already past 20, the Magikarp evolves

The game never mentions it or anything but you'll get a new stone for free when you catch your next Magikarp.

If my Magikarp has a poor individuality bonus I take those risks more often. For what it's worth those are the only two events I've found so far (The pokeball trasure/Voltorb and the Jumping for the berry on the tree/Pidgeotto) that make you lose the Magikarp but there are still many I have yet to unlock.

I didn't get to see the direct reaction to the evolution event; my game crashed and when I went back in I was on the retirement screen.

If you have a shiny Magikarp, the Gyarados will be shiny as well. Also, getting a Gyarados does not count for the "Magikarp forced to retire early" achievement, so I wouldn't do it more than just the one time to see the event.

Yeah I tried to get the Everstone to break again and I couldn't (which is good since I tend to click on Magikarp many times so if I break it by mistake it would be annoying)
I also couldn't get Pidgeotto to appear again when splashing in the pond..

My guess is that it really means "number of days logged in," so you can only get one per day. That's consistent with mine, anyway.

They also limit the total amount you can spend to 5,000 diamonds via purchases, period, which I also find interesting. That's still like $80 or so but it keeps people from going absolutely insane.

However they also have Exchange Tickets which afaik are only purchasable with real money.

That's something they also did in Pokémon Picross and Pokémon Rumble World, though I believe in those the max cost was closer to $30. I think Team Kirby Clash Deluxe also has a max currency purchase in place, so it seems to be something Nintendo likes (though not for Pokémon Shuffle or Fire Emblem Heroes).

I think Pokemon Shuffle had daily limits, but yeah, no max.

I guess they don't want people going too crazy with purchases, seeing as there's not a whole to actually buy at the moment. And once you've spent enough to get the Diamond Miner, there really isn't any point in spending any more other than impatience.

Oh, in case people didn't realize it, the forced League Challenge ignores LP and you still get money for losing, so always try to take a loss right before you hit max level. Plus there are random events that only apply to losses, so it's good for that too.

Even better, try to beat Leagues before hitting max level and you can go straight into the next League with your current Magikarp and get probably about 3 more wins right off the bat. Of course the random cheer bonus can fuck with this (you lose once then win the next time), but it's always worth a shot.

There's an event you can only get after losing three times in a row. It gives you three LP Sodas, but I'm guessing you can only trigger it once.

There are a bunch for losing and I think a few that work either way, so you probably got one of those.

Has anyone gotten the Slowpoke event yet (for anyone whose bought it)? It's a training event that I read somewhere you need to lose a match first, but I never can get it.

Also, Slowpoke sucks. You can't choose which companion it resets the cooldown for, and so far it's been for ones I have like 20 minutes left on.

Surely you can just wait until all your companions abilities are active, use the one you want to reset, then use Slowpoke and he'll have to reset that one?

Also, if you haven't levelled any one thing enough, you get a free candy for every 25 levels you put into a single piece of food or training.
