Question: Would you have prefered it if it ended with John Wick shooting the guy in the place and then just Ian McShane saying "what have you done?" and then just a cut to black?

PS: Some people would consider knowing that a movie ended in a cliffhanger to be a spoiler.

Nah, I would have preferred it if it ended with John Wick digging through the ashes of his old home, gathering his mementos and un-burrying his weapons with the implication the assassins guild is coming for him

that would just confuse idiots that don't/can't remember that killing on continental grounds is a big deal. The gravity of the situation had to be spoon-fed, really.
