My big toe toenail fell off about 2 weeks ago, I had dropped a ~400 pound table saw on my foot back in November and got a subungual hematoma which slowly but surely killed the nail dead until it just popped off 2 weeks ago and now I've got a stubby nail that only goes like 1/2 way up where it should.

Point of that is last week I stubbed my nail-less big toe and that hurt way more than any time ive fucked up the nail on my nailed big toe.

I have been stubbing toes like crazy lately.

But the worst was one time when I cut my foot wide open on the bedframe. I don't remember how but somehow my foot got high enough to land on the corner of the bedframe but also came down on it hard enough to badly cut myself.

In hindsight, I really should have gotten stitches but I didn't realize it was worse than just hurting a whole lot until I took pressure off of it and saw that *potentially offensive* the blood that had come out was so large in quantity that as it clotted it had solidified into a shelf-like structure extending from the palm of my hand, along the curve of my foot Of course, by then it had stopped bleeding so I guessed it was probably ok. Got in the shower and washed it off. Used a little hydrogen peroxide, which hurt like hell.

Also how was I going to get to the hospital with one foot? I lived by myself in those days and all my friends were out of town since it was a summer semester.

The last time I stubbed my toe on my bed, I did it right inbetween the webbing and hit it so hard I could see a little bit of bone.
