It seems like everyone is doing it all of a sudden. Seems like it and fidget spinners are the big things of 2017.

Do you vape? what's it like?

I do sometimes when I drink. From personal experience it isn't as detrimental to my cardio as smoking cigs. But there isn't any medical evidence for the healthiness of vaping yet.

A friend of mine who smokes said he felt a lot better after switching to vaping, so I'm thinking its not nearly as bad as regular smoking. Never looked up any stats for it though.

The inadvertently producing formaldehyde is mostly bs, the types of wire and heat ranges they used are virtually unheard of in any average user.

As far as carcinogens and toxic content, almost all companies stray away from diacetyls and other shit now. Gas station and no name juice is a no no.

Not every brand uses the same vg to pg ratio, ingredients, or even cares about the quality of their product

The popcorn lung scare is kind of funny. Yeah it is a thing for people working in popcorn factories who are exposed to it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. But for vaping, the quantity would be so minuscule... It would be like worrying about the amount of radiation you're exposed to in every day soil.

I haven't been keeping up with it for the last year or so, but virtually every study up to that point was flawed and biased and tested low grade no-name devices under unreal conditions.

So, it's currently known to be a lot safer than smoking cigarettes, especially since you don't get the radiation from the tobacco smoke and the tar and all the other chemicals that accompany it, but it's still not a great habit to pick up.

tl;dr Vaping is 'safer' than traditional combustible cigs, but not altogether safe. The long-term effects are unknown.
