-he gets a gambler shot (either town sees an Inno scan or a mafia dies along with him)

-town power is reduced to prostitute, UT (1x)/Psychic, Nurse

-mafia is reduced to Role Cop, godfather, Doctor/BU Psychic

You built the setup around a role that scum will know the role of, Town limited use actions when Night One was irrelevant and gave town both an anti Day and anti night action roles. Just too much for Town to handle IMO (though I guess Terra's botched claim and pj's modkills hurt this more than I thought but hey)

Kudos to those who claimed 1 use when they were actually multi use. Fairly smart I suppose (though jailkeeping me instead would have been nice Ben)

Four mislynches is on the generous side though. And an untargetable princess is actually fair, despite me normally disliking that role. As long as they're not crazy enough to make a nonsense fakeclaim and invite the lynch.

What about scum knowing a role makes a game imbalanced?

No power that was actually useful for town was 1-use, they were at least two, and both of them effectively fooled scum.

And yes you pointed out the things town did to hang itself.

I PM'd Lolo as soon as I saw that protection Jack claim with a huge facepalm. I'm not judging terra or anything he just made a super unfortunate decision. Day 2 was a little early to make such an aggressive bait claim especially knowing he wasn't Untargetable any more.

I definitely knew I was going out there a little with the setup. It's hard to predict how towns will handle atypical setups but I like doing things different and shaking up the meta. I thought this one did pretty well. The prosty modkill dug a huge hole, but look, town still could have gotten that mislynch back if the lightning rod was jailed N2, or if the jailer had targeted the same scum he tried to target n1.

And town ignored a 60-hour idler with a guilty scan. The result of the game was very one sided but I don't believe it's because the setup was unfair.

Admittedly I am extremely picky about balance and one of the large reasons I took an extended (about a year) break from mafia was that it was going away from my general philosophy of what makes Mafia fun: it went from being a battle of wits and player interaction to being more about the setup itself and how crazy a host can make it. That makes it way less fun for the players. There was a lot of talk about the setup that was ultimately pointless and led absolutely nowhere. I think getting rid of the backups and serials and just simplyfying the game would make it more fun and more about player interaction

So I apologize puns, it's at the very least not 4+1+1 in 16
