No, dumb thoughts. Anyone who thinks being on medication is bad for the sake of "hurr durr pills make you dead inside they dont actually help" has a lot of learning to do to say the least.

Medication helps free you. Please don't go off it because some person who doesn't need them says so. They know nothing about you, nor do they care about you.

I thought I didn't need them anymore. I'm an idiot.

the weird thing is that I actually enjoy not being on them, but I just can't deal with anything at all. Anxiety is just so high it makes it impossible to even go to the grocery store. Everytime I go outside it feels like I'm entering a war zone.

your 100% right. anyways this was my decision and it was somewhat financially based and somewhat 'peace of mind' based. They raised the price on my meds by 50% and while its still affordable I didn't know if I still needed it. I also didn't feel like my therapist was helping me anymore and she kept having me come in for sessions every 3 months to continue getting refills and these sessions are like 150 bucks a pop, and sometimes I'd be there for like 20 minutes it was annoying.

Also for my own peace of mind I wanted to know if I was normal without them again.

I understand that. The process of seeing all those pills and having to take them every morning makes you feel trapped in a way. Like you have no control over your mind. I guess you just have to remind yourself that you aren't trapped, and this stuff frees you to do whatever you want.

I have severe anxiety too. I dropped out of school for a year because just leaving my bedroom would make me scream and sob in hysterics. On days where it wasn't as bad it still felt like everything was attacking you all at once. I tried to go off my meds several times and all of them went terribly. Keep taking it, okay? :)

The dumb thing about it too is that once you forget/miss one day you're less motivated to take it the next day. And it starts an ugly cycle >.>
