Do you usually bother to? If you ever get one at all

Depends... If i dont understand the mod ill ask for a secound opinion but il rarely go beyond that

Only one where I called a mod out for being a jackass. He was trolling the wrestling board and I said he should be setting an example instead of being a jackass. I got modded, fought it and got it overturned. Even got an apology from said mod.

yeah i've seen that too, sometimes they'll get upset for wasting their time, like "this was so obviously a violation, why did you bother disputing it?

I usually just use the first dispute response to make fun of the mod who originally modded me. They usually deserve it

Sometimes I post things that I know are going to get modded. I just consider it premium posting that costs 3 karma. Those I accept as soon as I see them. It's when I'm blindsided with bullshit that I contest it, and those I usually win.

have you ever had one overturned? a lot of times they're really nasty in the dispute response too

in the ridiculously rare (as in, a rate of less than once per year) instance that i got modded, i'll accept it because it's always been perfectly fair and reasonable

The only one I can think of that made me peeved was when I used a sketchyURL generator to make a joke topic then was modded (I guess cause they thought IA or something? I don't remember)

I appealed it and then got it back immediately.

I did appeal to Admin once about something, but I can't recall what it was.



It's not hard not to get modded. You can even insult or flame people and not get modded, you just have to be clever about it.

It's not hard not to get modded. You can even insult or flame people and not get modded, you just have to be clever about it.

yeah you can even insult or flame people and not get modded. but can you really do the illegal activities shit and not get modded?

i'd say 80% of the time i've been modded was for when i was blatant trolling
10% of the time i was modded, i realized after that I guess that i did kind of mess up
and i'd say the last 10% are usually unfair. either the moderator was personally triggered and moderated it irrationally (this type of moderation is usually overturned by another mod) or the mod was trying to censor a conversation before it even started.

I've never disputed a single moderation.

To be fair, I had one that was dispute-worthy stuff, and a warning even, but it happened to an alt so I was like 'meh', and just decided to not care.

More often I don't, but I do occasionally. It's usually a wasted venture, but I've had, maybe a 2 handfuls, overturned in the lifetime of this account. Of course, I got modded more in 2016 than I had for the previous 12 years so I don't know how well that answers the question.

Then again, the site also had a decent mod staff back then.
