fr tho what would "Trance Zidane's" upkeep be? That would be a pretty decent merc if he started in Trance like Kuja does. Although we have way less feats to look at, just a lot of plot hype I think

Zidane could be a lot better with just a few tweaks:

1) make Thievery random weapon/customization every other week with preselection and giving it to an ally adding a weeks recharge apiece

2) change his character upgrade to a new ability called Trance that gives him Trance for X seconds in the match, give that new ability an ability upgrade that increases duration

3) replace I Want to Be Your Canary with something more fun like:
Ooh, Soft (Start of Battle) - Every other week, Zidane will start the match by grabbing a preselected opposing Mercs butt. If Zidane's target is rostered, there is a 75% chance that Zidane's bad touch is not appreciated and the targeted Merc will prioritize killing Zidane. Likewise there is a 25% chance that the target is intrigued by Zidane's implicit offer and will refuse to attack Zidane during the match. For an additional week of recharge, decided during rosters, Zidane may choose to start next to the molested Merc.
