Bass.EXE's build is being edited for clarity. The following changes will be implemented:

-Life Aura is being tweaked. Currently it says the following: "Bass.EXE will also negate the first enemy mercenary Start of Battle ability that targets him used by a mercenary that is 4 Upkeep or higher, after which this passive will be disabled.". This uses 'targeting cancellation' which is not used in this way anywhere else, significantly weakening the passive from what it's supposed to do, and also uses the unclear wording 'negate' instead of 'Nullify. The new wording will be as follows: "Bass.EXE will also nullify the first enemy mercenary Start of Battle ability to hit him used by a mercenary of Upkeep 4 or higher, after which this passive will be disabled.". The combination of standardizing game terms and resolution timings removes dumb edge cases and unclear interps.
-Get Ability is also being tweaked for clarity. Currently it says the following: "However, he'll keep his interest strictly on battle, choosing only to copy a preselected customization from a preselected mercenary that was present for that battle. This ability may be used vs non-rostered mercs at a 50% rate.". Unclear verbiage makes it so it's hard to tell how it works ('present' is not a game term!). The wording will be changed to the following: "However, he'll keep his interest strictly on battle, choosing to copy a preselected customization from a preselected mercenary that was rosterable for the week's battle. This ability may be used against rosterable mercenaries that weren't rostered with a 50% chance of failure."
-Lastly, his battle writeup is being edited to clarify that he does not just draw from the MMBN4 and 5 Omega forms. He should be drawing from MMBN3 Bass Omega GS as well, but the writeup is unclear on that at the moment. His new battle writeup will be as follows:

"Bass.EXE is as he appears in the Megaman Battle Network series, with access to all the moves and properties of his Omega forms (including Bass Omega GS), though if any of his barriers/auras is destroyed, he loses access to all of them for the rest of the fight. He can operate here the same way he does on the Net."

-Similarly, his character upgrade should specify "...and BX forms (including both Gregar and Falzar)". He's supposed to get everything, not just one version's stuff.

As this is more than just clarification (the Life Aura change in particular is, well, an actual change), we are obligated to offer the opportunity to refund Bass if you so choose. I wouldn't recommend it, as he's served you very well, but the choice is yours.

We are editing CATS to fix his wording as well. Parts of it are really very sloppy, and while the merc clearly works in one specific way, he could use a polish pass. We will not be offering Johnbobb or Lopen a refund for him, however, as this is purely clarification with no changes in function.

-MAIN SCREEN TURN ON currently has the following wording: "Both teams will be aware of this, and a randomly-selected randomly rolled ability from either team, may be redirected to the chosen merc, even if it's not a legal target. ". The wording on this sucks ('randomly-selected' clearly means 'randomly-selectING', but isn't written that way). We are editing this to be clear to people who aren't admin-caliber, and read thusly: "Both teams will be aware of this, and one ability with randomized targeting (such as Little Mac's Title Bout) from either team may be redirected to the chosen merc, even if they're not a legal target. The ability to be redirected is randomly selected during rosters, and the choice to redirect must be declared at that time as well."

-IT'S YOU currently has the following wording: "Choose a mercenary. The next ability used by CATS's attached mercenary will target the chosen mercenary if able, even if the roll would normally be random. Further, if the chosen mercenary uses or has used any abilities this wartime, CATS's attached mercenary may copy them, reciprocating against the mercenary using the ability if they're an eligible target, choosing the target otherwise, with the choice of copying and target being made during rosters.". This wording is also just plain messy and we can make it more readable. It will be changed as follows: "Choose a mercenary to target. The next ability used by CATS's attached mercenary will hit the chosen mercenary if able, even if the roll would normally be random. Further, if the targeted mercenary uses or has used any abilities this wartime, CATS's attached mercenary may copy them, reciprocating them against the targeted mercenary if they're eligible to be hit by their own abilities and choosing another target otherwise, with the choice of copying and alternative target being made during rosters.

-CATS' YOU ARE ON THE WAY TO DESTRUCTION is for the most part clear, but one specific piece needs some clarification. Currently it says the following: "He may relink to any mercenary on his team making this choice.". We are changing it to say: "He may relink to any mercenary on his team upon using this ability, and before his chosen option has resolved, even if his abilities are on cooldown".

As a reminder, we will not be offering a refund for CATS. He still works the same way, you just don't need to be an admin to understand how he works anymore.

We are also editing the mercenary Rydia to not have derp wording. Specifically, her Odin upgrade option. Currently it reads as follows:

"Odin: Uses Zantetsuken. Dramatic Summon will only hit one random post rosters mercenary if it triggers, KOing the mercenary. Rydia will bring the Mist Dragon to battle for her battle write-up if this customization is chosen."

If you look at it closely, you'll see Rydia can get her own teammates. This is very clearly a wording slip that adds nothing to the game, so rather than keep a """"""hilarious"""""" self-ownage that you can't plan for around, we'll be fixing it to say 'one random post-rosters enemy mercenary'.

Nobody actually owns her, but we were asked to clarify on this matter so here you are.

It works in the exact same way, but the fix'd Life Aura accidentally allowed Bass to catch Globals and Teamwide abilities when he shouldn't, so we've edited it for further clarity. We will have a Targeting Primer up soon, explaining the Three Words of Ability Usage, what the targeting types are, and which abilities are considered to 'target' and not. You know what's more '''''''fun''''''' than being a mercs admin? Having to be a mercs admin while you're getting rushed. Last fix of the night, thank goodness.

We are implementing a hotfix to Class 7's Valimar ability. It's very sloppy, offers only an antihype showing, and generally is very little value for something that should be, y'know, actually useful. The entire ability will be replaced with the following:

"Heed my call... Valimar, the Ashen Knight!" (Pre-Battle): Once every five weeks, Rean may choose to take things to the next level and pilot Valimar, the Ashen Knight, as seen in Trails of Cold Steel 2, replacing the entirety of Class 7. This is considered a Form Switch and Vehicle Swap ability, with Valimar's classification becoming Heroic Male Robot, and you may pick one secondary contractor of your choice to accompany Rean while piloting Valimar from the available options in ToCS2. Its writeup is as follows:

Valimar, the Ashen Knight is as seen in Trails of Cold Steel 2, piloted by Rean Schwarzer, with <Contractor> as his secondary contractor, granting him access to all the appropriate abilities. They may leave the Ashen Knight at any time.
