It's a really good anime/manga and I'd recommend it to just about anyone without reservations. It also continues to get more and more interesting. The manga is two arcs past where the anime is and it's very interesting and intense. What reminds me most of HxH is that the characters develop in gradual but significant ways. Both in terms of power and character. And the fights always involve at least a superficial amount of planning. It's not just DBZ style "my power level is higher/I have more transformations" or whatever.
