My god. No show will ever be able to wrap itself up as perfectly as it just did. Ever.

Are you caught up with season 3 besides the final episode? Yeah this season in particular has been amazing. Seasons 1 and 2 I love but the way this season manages to find ways to cut the fat of the show to anything that isn't essential to what really matters to the mythology of the show or the central relationship between Kevin and Nora, all while not neglecting other characters either.

I think I watched season 1 or most of it. I got bored when they didn't explain a single fucking thing.

The show is about the aftermath and the reactions of all the characters and their relationships with each other, the actual departure is much more just context for the universe the show takes place in. Not to say the mythology of everything doesn't matter it obviously does, its just the driving force for what happens, but not what the show is about. That's why keeping up the mystery of it all is important.

The final episode gives an answer, but it is still ambiguous. As it should be. Why does it matter though when the show is about the characters, not the event?

Loved the show from the start. Have the finale on my DVR. I can understand why some people can't get into it though. It's very character driven and some people can't handle that.
