Standings take like an hour to do right. However a lot of the annoying stuff with this is gone with these-- but if the documentation of what went on in Peace/Wartime isn't up to snuff it could more than cancel that.

That's an illegal selection, unfortunately...you're supposed to grab something as per Variable Weapons System.

Variable Weapon System (Results) - After each battle that he participated in, X gains a pre-selected spell or technique a randomly selected rostered enemy mercenary that they could use given the restrictions in their battle write-up. This ability may activate on a 50% success rate even if Mega Man X was not rostered for battle. This will be added to his customization and can be selected for each subsequent battle. He may only hold 8 spells/techniques, though if gaining one would put him above 8, he may replace one.

The custom isn't a preselected spell or technique, needless to say. Normally I would random this, but since it would take an infinity of hours to comb through ten fucking mercenaries working out what all they have for spells and techs and we didn't catch this last week, we'll allow you to pick something actually valid. Please select a spell or tech for X to gain now.

I have 25 minutes to actually work it out before I have to leave and ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha if you think I'm knowledgeable enough to make that happen. I'm good, but not THAT good. Considering just how minor this is, we'll call this an executive decision meant to not freeze the game over pointless minutia. It's irregular, but it's better than having to say 'FREEZE' to a match for hours on end just to roll what custom X acquires.

This would require checking for elligibility still. Some characters have neither spells nor techniques (example: Leon). In some cases this is obvious (see: Leon again, unless the ability to say 'No thanks, BRO' counts), in others not so much.

See this is exactly why I looked at randoming something undefined and went 'fuck that noise'

The suplex totally should be elligible for copying but I wouldn't even find it on a wiki or anything and it's been years since I played RE4. Randoming the merc is the closest thing to a fair resolution here and it's still kinda clusterfucky. Just simpler to let eaed pick. If any of the leaders he's yet to face want to criticize me for it I'll just take the blame here.

Also, I'm making an official rule going forward:

Starting this week, we will be putting down a 15 minutes to Peacetime deadline for experience. Anybody who submits experience allocations afterward will receive no EXP for the week. Not 'randomized', we're talking nulled. Zero. Nada.

That wasn't an anti-randomization rule, just an anti-chicanery rule. We'd gotten real tired of boko assigning EXP 2 minutes before peacetime, thus forcing lots of pointless refreshing and extra time spent waiting specifically on him to finish his goddamn exp that he totally was going to put in but would delay for no other reason than making the admin team unhappy (because his opponents had always assigned EXP hours and hours ago at that point, thus providing no real value to that form of extreme timer-scamming). Note how it says 'anybody who submits experience after the deadline gets no exp' specifically, not 'unassigned exp gets lost'. It's a punishment on chicanery, not on being absent.
