I've always found that my attention span can really only handle 1 single player game at a time, with 1-2 multiplayer games whenever my friends want to play. I've just found that if I try to focus on multiple story based games, I'll gravitate towards one in particular and the other one ends up half-finished. But that's just me...

I tend to focus on 2 or 3 single player games at a time but also throw a sports game or a racing game into the mix for quick sessions.

On first plays; usually only one. Now I might reply games to take a break or switch things up while playing a game for the first time. But rarely am I ever playing two games for the first at the same time.
