Freya at least had a character arc. I feel like Amarant is barely a character and kinda tossed in there to have another physical fighter or something. He seems completely unimportant, at least from what I remember.

I don't even understand how people can compare him to Freya. not only was he randomly added to the team (i don't even remember using him) but what did he even do??

You didn't use Amarant?

Like... he gave free mana and did a ton of damage with his Throws. He was as strong as Freya was versatile

Oh sure, I always had him in my active party, he was a great character gameplay-wise. Story-wise though, not at all.
