Can the rabbit lady have a baby with the moose guy? You never see "interracial" couples, everyone sticks with their own species. They have pets too, the monkey girl has a cat for a pet and a cat girl for a friend. That's pretty fucked up. What if somebody finds a kitten in the dumpster, how will they know if it'll grow up into a cat lady or a regular pet cat?

Maybe we're the animals, man, and somebody is out there watching us, man. What if we're on a tv show right now, man?

In one episode, the writers actually lampshade this. The kids are watching a show where the characters are animals, and Francine asks something to the effect of, "If they're animals, do they eat bugs?" So I don't think the people on Arthur knew they were animals.
