Plants are living beings that would very much like to stay alive or not have some asshole munch on its body (unless it produces fruit for the express purpose of animal consumption and excretion to spread its seeds).

The whole point of this article is that plants perceive the world in a different way and not necessarily in a "lesser" way.

Veganism and vegetarianism founded in morality have no logical basis. They simply draw the line arbitrarily further down the list. The only stance that possibly makes any sense is veganism founded in a boycott of the unethical practices in animal agriculture and the environmental impact of it. Or just "I don't like meat" and nothing further.
