Maybe if you were born in the mid 90s. Also there's still Lebron... and Dirk... and Shaq... and Kobe...

But he's had an outstanding season (even underrated at times) and an even better Finals.

No, he's not better than Lebron. Though some people will act like this series matter, if when you have a team so stacked that Jordan wouldn't have a chance. Jordan NEVER even faced a team as good as last years Warriors or the 2014 Spurs.

Bullshit.

Jordan played when talent in the NBA was at an all time high.

Durant and Lebron are playing when you've got 3-4 stacked teams and nobody else even has a chance.

The Cavs went from championship caliber to lottery level immediately subsequent to LeBron leaving for Miami. Miami equally went from championship level to **** tier when he went back to Cleveland. Cleveland went from lottery level to NBA Finals when LeBron came back. That's what I'd expect from "the greatest player in the world".

KD has nowhere near that kind of influence.

Steve Kerr is barely a better coach than Lue, he simply lucked into an amazing situation.

Stevens
Carlisle

The 90s: the powerhouses of the 80s got old and faded away, rapid expansion was spreading the talent thin, and the influx of international talent hadn't really began

Jordan is the GOAT and faced some very good teams, but people tend to look at previous eras with rose tinted glasses.

All I'm saying is that you can put LeBron on ANY team and he'll make them a title contender if they have decent role players. I...can't say that about KD.

It's true he faced some really good teams, like the Malone/Stockton Jazz and the Barkley Suns, but the Leonard/Duncan Spurs, and the current Warriors are on other levels.

Have you actually watched the Cavs play basketball?

The difference between the Cavs and Warriors is 100% in the way they run their respective offenses. Instead of an offense that consist of Iso-Lebron/Kyrie and 20% of the time kick it out to one of their 3 point shooters, the Warriors spread the ball around, constantly looking for an open shooter to get a good look. Not only does this effectively generate these looks, it tires out the Cavs who simply cannot keep up with the movement or the pace. On the flip side, most of the Cavs Iso shots are contested, as the Warriors tough defenders can stay on these dudes for the most part. Lue (or Lebron, whoever you want to argue actually makes these calls) refuses to change what absolutely is not working for them. There is talent on the Cavs but they do not use it effectively at all.

Lebron wishes he was on the level of ewing defensively. The league back then was about real defence. Ewing wasnt about putting up big numbers, he was there to stop the other team from doing so.

"Real defense" but you weren't allowed to stray too far from your man if he didn't have the ball, otherwise the offense got a free throw.

Anyways, if you're using Ewing to talk up the 90s, pointing out that he was only the 4th best center of the decade is probably more effective than trying to compare him to LeBron.

I just want to say Miami didn't go shit-tier. They almost made the playoffs the next season and almost played the Cavs that season after in the ECF. This was all while paying an injured Bosh and trying to figure themselves out.
And they had one of the best/the best 2nd half record coming back from the All-Star break this year.

With that said, I miss LBJ in the MIA. :(
