As in, he doesnt play music much anymore, but is a regular guy with a regular job now.

Thing is, he said in a recent interview he is down for session work so long as you can come to pittsburgh, which is where I live. Not really too relevant I wont be contacting his services as i dont know musicians who need a session drummer but its weird for me to see a guy who extremely complex drumming just holding a regular job like that now, like his technical skills(though he hasnt played regularly for like a decade) could land him a job in a lot of places i feel like, but regardless, his choice to do whats hes doing.

Its like I feel like it wouldnt be too hard to interact with one of my musical idols but there is no reason for me to do so. Would be kinda cool to hail a cab and have one of your musical idols driving you around.

Well, I kinda knew that already. But it seems weird to me somebody could be do gifted at one thing(drums) yet have no other skills so to make ends meet they drive a taxi.
