TRE (or anyone else), do you know if it's better points-wise to lose on the boss fight of Lunatic 7 or win Lunatic 5?

if you mean Lunatic 5 sweep with A team vs Lunatic 7 lose with A team, win with B team, then Lunatic 7 is better

if you mean you outright lose with all 4 teams in Lunatic 7, then winning Lunatic 5 is better. though i'm not really sure how that could be the case.

Was able to beat Lunatic 7, but didn't end up with a 500 score, probably because I used healers. It slows things down, but you get to stay in longer. Maybe I should just go for the 338 run (surrender at map 7) to speed things up.

Turns out this is an awesome SP grinder for good units. That Bride Cordelia I sank 42k worth of feathers into units to feed her and came up 1400SP short of learning everything? Just 49 more to go since becoming my wave destroyer in Tempest Trials with Olivia and Azura. I finally got her the Brave Bow+ and it's like night and day's worth of difference. Pre-Brave Bow, I was hoping she'd at least carry me to round 5 on her own. Now, I'm pretty sure I can make it to Victoria in my sleep.

Step 1: Find a mage that will deal a chunk of damage to her when attacking.
Step 0.5-1.5: Kill everything.
Step 2: Kill everything even harder, now that Desperation is active.
Step 3: Play bonus unit.
Step 4: Decide to win.

I learned one of my first times through Lunatic 7 that if you happen to leave your bonus unit in the third group and unepectedly manage to beat it with your second, you should not take that plunge, because your score will as well.

Currently up to 13k, rank 20k. I'm not sure if it's gonna be possible to net all the rewards at a similar pace, but I suppose it's about time those 60 Stamina potions wasting space in my inventory are finally put to good use.

Oh yeah, not sure whether it's been clarified on the Masked Marth's skills yet, but at least from the 4* one, they were not, in fact, hiding her skills:

Winning on Lunatic 5 is better if you can do that consistently. However, the final map is the same for Lunatic 5 and Lunatic 7. If you can consistently win on Lunatic 5, you'll also get some wins on Lunatic 7 which will push it ahead of Lunatic 5.

I have M.Robin and three other units in Team A, get them as far as I can, then send in my B Team(Which is actually my A team...) to finish the map. I get 400ish-600 depending on how well I do. If only I had a Tharja...

Thanks for the info! My only issue is with Veronica so I'll probably stick with Lunatic 7, no guarantee I can win even on Lunatic 5.

It would be sort of a cool idea if you could only inherit skills into blank slots, but since you can just not use any of a character's innate skills anyway... I dunno, I guess it's sort of nice for people who don't have a Falchion user yet?

I've got a +Atk/-Res Alm, and Masked Lucina might legitimately be better than him. Which is frustrating.

Alm's only difference to her is +2 HP, +2 Atk, -6 Spd, and +3 Def.

30 to 36 speed is ridiculous. Alm's gonna get doubled to hell and back by everything, probably fail to double even a Julia if he survives one, and guaranteed dead to Nino/Linde. Lucina might actually just get hit once and then kill stuff back.

Lucina builds tend to replace her A and C skills so Masked Marth not having them isn't that bad. No Luna hurts a bit since it's a good skill but Moonbow is considered a bit better anyways.

Tempest Trial is starting to piss me off today. >_>

Failed two runs because I screwed up somewhere or got a map/unit combination that made it nearly impossible to get through without someone getting killed.

It's also pissing me off, too, and because I can't do a perfect run even on trial 4, which means I probably won't get to 50k at this point since I started late.

No stamina potions to burn through? That's what I plan on using if it gets down to the wire. But yeah, I'm also incapable of getting a perfect run(M.Robin was so good pre-inheritance T_T)

Hopefully we all reach that 1 billion points goal. 10 orbs and 5k feathers? Yes please!

I think we are on pace for one billion points. There are at least 30000 people with 14000+ points right now and we are about 60% the way through the 5 day period with a second weekend day to go.

B in speed B in Survival. I somehow had my first team(M.Robin, Julia, Y.Tiki, Ninian) make it all the way to the final map with only one casualty(Olivia + Lucina = one ded Nin)

I've gotten 646 a few times. Speed A, with my third team. The speed multiplier matters more than the survivors multiplier, strangely.

Also, I wasn't going to go ahead and do it, but I decided to, just to say I have. This team just solo'd the entire thing:

Hitting an A in speed helps a lot. 1.5 times multiplier. It makes bringing a dancer in pretty crucial.

I feel like I've got it down well now. I can get 705 points per run maybe 90% of the time. I should be able to hit 100k, but it is time consuming. It take on average ten minutes per run.

I think I can get some of those Orbs but I haven't decided how many I'll aim for. It strongly depends on how motivated I still am after hitting 50000.

Roy starting the final map off at 5 hp was scary. But all it took was Reinhardt sacrificing himself to the cause for Nino to finish her off.


Part of me wants to give him Renewal since Seal Def only benefits him on this team... but I only have a spare 5* Jakob and I want to give my 5* Marth renewal.

Finishing tonight at 23k. So we're what, 3 days into a 2 week period? Yeah, I oughta be able to net everything, then. This is also a great HM-grinder, since units end up surviving 7 battles for 20 Stamina. Which means I can usually get the same 4 in my starting group to at least survive 5 rounds for a decent amount of HM. I usually get an unexpected 500 feather bonus once a 5-attempt session.

The problem with using the event to grind for Hero Merit is my characters are starting to hit the 2000 cap. It would be nice if I could switch in different characters, but the battles are too difficult for that.

Shadows of Valentia is the best written FE in a long time. Fact. Thabes and Celica's new character arc are shit, but the rest is damn good. It's a nice reminder that the 90s were, in fact, awesome.

Still can't figure out how to break 500. My B team of Tharja/Olivia/Nino/Abel can usually get past the first four maps, and there was one time where the team was able to beat the last map, but what's killing my score is speed. This event has made me realize what an absolute beast Nino can be, but it requires a lot of careful maneuvering to ensure my survival.

I mean, I got less from having team B beat all five maps than I did switching to team A on the last map >_>

I only have three characters with inherited skills and by coincidence two of them happened to be Lucina and Julia. As it turned out, those two with healer and dancer support are pretty good at clearing the the 7 map version of Lunatic. My original schedule had lots of grinding and never intended for me to ever beat Veronica so I'm way ahead of schedule due to winning so often.

here's my setup. it's a lot less than what some others are doing, even.

Linde with blarblade+, desperation 3, moonbow
Eirika with reposition, fortify res seal
base Ninian
4* Tharja with desperation 3

Linde is the carry. with just Eirika's buffs, she has 57 effective atk (she's atk bane). with Ninian that's 60. Tharja (49/52 effective atk) can kill any green unit. Linde can kill most non-green units. for really fast units like Lon'qu or high res units like Faye, Linde often needs her special charged. Jagen, Wrys, and Linde are about the only non-green units that can survive her even with the special charged.

if they die, i have a team with a fully decked out Hector and some other characters i haven't used SI on at all (Lucina, Nino, Azura). that's usually good enough to beat the last stage. if i die before the last stage, it's usually the goddamn cliff map and i have my flier team take care of that first.

I managed to get an A speed with a healer! Didn't keep track of all the turn counts but I beat the 7th map in 6 turns, so it's not TOO stringent.

My lead setup is

Nino (I put Desperation on, but it rarely comes up)
Seliph
Sharena
Olivia (Fortify Res Seal)

this sweeps the first 6 levels about half the time. This setup isn't ideal, but Nino can take care of most units, and some red units, and Sharena can take care of Ruby weapon users. If that team falls I just bring out whatever 5 star units I have that can clear the map. If I get to Veronica with 0-1 teams lost I can usually clear her, but my main goal is just getting those 336 points.

Soren - Gronnblade+, Darting Blow, Green Tomebreaker, Threaten Speed, Moonbow, breath of life seal
Tharja - Darting Blow, Desperation, Moonbow, Hone Attack, speed seal
Eirika - Fury, Rally Def, Swordbreaker, Hone speed, fortify res seal, Moonbow
Azura - Fury, Wings of Mercy, Fortify Res, HP +3 seal

Kill everything possible with Tharja, and let Soren handle what she can't. Eirika and Azura fight very rarely

Are you guys finding it more efficient to do an imperfect trial 4 or 5 run if you can't get it perfectly? I'm not talking stamina-wise, but in terms of time. I was able to have my B team beat the sixth map, but it's definitely more risky to do that than just needing it to beat first four maps.

When I fail, it is usually on the 7th stage so I like to go for the highest difficulty. If my A team can't beat the 7th, then I sacrifice two teams so that my B team can cleanup the easier board.
