I get the idea of him being an uptight fuddy duddy cop, but you still need to make him somewhat likable. Him being a good cop doesn't save that.

Then they SPOILERS make him an adulterer, which takes away even the tiny bit of likability he could have possibly had.

I knew what they were trying to do also with all the war stuff, but they just executed most things wrong. The botched interrogation system doesn't help either and makes him seem like he's mentally unstable.

It's such a shame, cause the game, for the most part, is pretty damn good. I wish the main character was a private eye instead of a cop. I think you could flesh out his character more. Playing as a Sam Spade or Jake Gittes like character would have been more fun.
