i am not a big fan of lich king for a myriad of reasons. mostly the gp cost. you could say you 'dont care about the gp cost' but it's something that imo you have to always be aware of. in a game that paydowns and bids in results are ever important, yeah, it's a risky merc. you'd note that i didn't roster the guy after bidding high as hell for another reason! i think that speaks for itself.

on the other hand, shulk is hella legit. if you're able to prioritize exp on him at this juncture (may be difficult), 50 exp (2 wins and a loss) gives you control of the tier for a week (results abil) and an insane functionality increase to his back slash.

he also helps you with ability nullification. A++ merc do not know why he's gone unbought!

Alternatively you could probably find something neat with Ultimecia for Harth (though I probably wouldn't suggest THIS) by messing around with stuff. Or Dante changes prebattles into SOBs or whatever. Synergy and stuff. Good for the soul.

I think Little Mac absolutely needs to be dropped from your team. Having him for doubled loss exp is nice for the regular season but having fighting spirit proc the week you are out uh "lol"

plus i believe his KO is on cd for you anyway as he beat the shit out of terra.

top to bottom your mercenaries are highly respected outside of low. i would say to grab a premium merc there. agnes i believe is available for your pool. she has very, very good synergy with Ellie, too (an owner's hint if anything!) having super good battle worth everywhere is always a good thing. it just helps that she has a specific ability that can really help you too

Does this mean that eaed will match whatever I put in (so I put in 5 GP and he puts in 5 GP) or that he'll contribute half of what I contribute (so I put in 7 GP and he puts in 3 GP)? I believe it's the former but want to make sure before making a dumb mistake

I think it's blocked, maybe? Need to check all rulings but offhand I think the Morrigan ruling (following) says no:

Morrigan may not send an unrosterable above tier mercenary to fight for the other team while Protester Power (or similar abilities) are in effect, as it's an ability that's making the above tier mercenary rosterable without paying down, which is denied by the ability (11/17/2016, Week 48)

Only question is if assists are exempted from it.

Technically Neclord's ability is used on the week previous and is a Results ability not a Peacetime ability which puts it outside the scope of Protester Power even ignoring the other potential snags but that's just how I see it.

Though for what it's worth I would call "being a merc's assist" different than "making a merc rosterable" too so even if you didn't agree with that.

Basically I don't wanna dawdle on exactly why as I'm not an admin, but I'm pretty sure one of those things would get around Protester Power.
