What are the proper channels for me to do so? I know, they can't be around dogs unless raised with puppies or they get heart attacks from being barked at or terrorized.

They piss and shit everywhere and can die so easily it's a wonder the species survived. If you really want one I recommend adopting, if you don't live in a rural area there's probably a shelter somewhere near you.

I personally don't like them as pets but just do the proper research before getting one, they are high maintenance.

I wanted one as a kid because we had a class bunny for a while that you could take home and look after. I think they're just good in small doses though, would be a pain to own.

Actually, anything that isn't a dog or a cat pretty much isn't worth it. It's a lot of responsibility and clean-up for very little payoff.

My sister had a rabbit for a few years. It went bananas on every fucking wire it could get near which was annoying and never forget the time it got into the heat vents the house smelled like rabbit piss for a week. When we cleaned out the vents there was timothy hay EVERYWHERE.

Also it sliced up my skin like Freddy Krueger (Bunny Krueger)?

All that said it was cute and if she put better eyes on it it would have been a better roommate.

Reptiles can be fantastic low maintenance pets. We have a box turtle and the only regular maintenance is refilling her soaking pool every other day, and they make great conversation pieces while being fun pets to watch. Some lizards can be straight up affectionate like dogs, eg. bearded dragons.

Lol, in what way? Who wants to have to clean a cage/tank every day and provide the essentials of life for something that you cannot even handle that lacks any sort of care, awareness, etc? Most pets basically just exist. They eat and make a mess and that's it. They can be cool to look at, sure, but I don't see why you wouldn't want a "hands on" pet if you had the choice.

I don't know a whole ton about turtles since our turtle is more my wife's pet than mine, but if the shell isn't cracked or otherwise seriously damaged it'll probably be okay. It's not surprising that it won't eat or drink because it's a wild turtle and won't accept food from humans. I would place it back in the wild.

My current GF has had like four before she gave up, she said they die easily from heart attacks which is sad and heart breaking. But she had two dogs around it, and I think the bunny died from being intimidated from them.

Stress is like fucking cyanide to a rabbit, so it is possible that is why they died. They can easily die from being too hot or too cold (in temperatures cats and dogs don't care about), they can't even vomit so if they eat something that makes them sick that can also kill them. Hell they can break their own backs by struggling too hard. They're fucking worthless lol
