Of the big three? Maybe. Not when Bethesda is taken into account though. Or the PC Gaming Show, which I didn't watch but am confident in guessing that it was garbage.

Bethesda was a mess. Today I started watching some Youtube trailers for games I was interested in only to realize, "Oh, this was that weird crap shown during Bethesda". Sony had remakes of old games and new trailers of sequels to new games already announced last year. Oh, and a Vita game. clap, clap , calp.

Between Sony and Bethesda, Sony was easily better but those two were both wastes of time.

The PC Gaming show doesn't even register, it was so poorly thought out that I didn't bother watching more than a few minutes of it. All I remember was some Intel shill talking about how Intel helps developers make games run better on Intel.

Didn't watch them all, but Bethesda had the worst of the ones I watched.

In all honesty, vr skyrim sounds pretty fucking sweet. If I ever fork out the cash for a vr set up that's definitely going to be a first purchase.

Microsoft said last year that they aren't making exclusives anymore. All of their games are getting released on Windows 10 as well.

That said, they did a lot better then Sony, if just for the fact they didn't just cater to the frat fuck crowd this time.

Bethesda was by far the worst in my eyes, but Microsoft was terrible as well. I wouldn't say Sony's was GOOD, but it's hard for me to look at their presentation and say it was definitively worse than the also-terrible alternatives.

On a semi-related note, almost every time someone makes a "I think we can all agree..." topic on PotD, they're almost always saying something I disagree with. The irony, it is palpable.

I'm tempted to make a ""I think we can all agree that 'I think we can all agree' topics always suck" topic about it.

Which really isn't a selling point when you realize just how poorly they've handled the Play Anywhere set up in general, and how it's created problems that shouldn't/wouldn't have existed in the previous model where the two were more distinct ecosystems.

It also isn't much of a selling point in an environment where people are already screaming about the imminent death of console gaming and the PC Master Race is flying its banners higher and prouder than ever before.

I'd say EA was worse.

I'm pretty stoked for Spider-Man and SotC. God of War and Days Gone look good, but I'm still skeptical about DG. That Horizon: Zero Dawn DLC looks good, too. Oh, and Detroit: Become Human. I know David Cage games are pretty divisive, but I'm in the group that tends to enjoy them.

Sony didn't blow me away (although the SotC remake was a welcome surprise), but I wouldn't say I was disappointed, either.

Nintendo > Ubisoft > EA > Sony > Microsoft for me. I didn't even watch Bethesda or PC gaming show, but I hear nothing major was announced.

Nintendo had a great showing with Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, and the announcement of a new Metroid Prime, among other things. Ubisoft had Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Assassin's Creed. EA had the spectacular looking Anthem alongside Star Wars Battlefront 2 which might actually not be a rip-off this time. Sony had Monster Hunter and a pretty awesome looking Spider-man game. Microsoft showed multi-platform games. And uh... Knack 2?
