I disagree that it is as bad as it appears.
Firstly, that happens to Adults too. Secondly, humans have only so much attention that they can spend. The same kind of 'zonked out' behaviour can be found when someone reads a book, listens to music or talks to friends( for the outside younger brother or sister trying to interrupt) or tries to study or solve a puzzle. So I personally don't think it's as bad as it seems. ... Copied to Clipboard!
