aHappySacka 06/15/17 1:16:55 AM #3:	Super Metroid has always felt awkward to me, with all the spin jumping vs normal jumping then having to aim up and down. The 3D ones aren't bad by any means, but they honestly felt really clunky with the aiming, platforming, scanning, lack of upgrades, etc. Granted, they got fixed somewhat on the Wii, but I still got a lot more enjoyment with the 2D games. --- I am a senior software engineer. No other game I've played has captured the atmosphere of Super Metroid, where you explore the bowels of a planet. you explore more and more hostile environments going places you will never see in most sci-fi. that is the part of SM that I like the most, the exploration of unimaginably harsh extraterrestrial environments made possible only by wearing a super-suit. other metroid games focus on fighting pirates, or fighting metroids, etc., with less focus on the exploration. (I have not played all metroid games or anything though; really only 1, SM, and the three prime games.)
