i started up metro 2033, turned subtitles on, and...there's no subtitles. only when someone is directly talking about story stuff is there subtitles, which is okay i guess, but the atmosphere is a big part of this game, too, and if i can't hear that shit i don't like it. i don't like people saying things and me not fully knowing what it is.

What's worse, is when they support subtitles, but only sometimes. Subtitles aren't just for people who want to read what's being said, people hard of hearing or deaf use them. And only having partial subtitles is a really big deal if someone is deaf.
