If you like a product, you should keep using it. You'd be surprised at how helpful brand loyalty is to companies and the economy in general. It also makes analytics a lot easier.

Why should I be a number for you to analyze? I'll buy whatever product I feel like buying thankyouverymuch.

Brand loyalty is stupid.

That means, if the brand you are loyal to makes a crappy product you'll buy it regardless of how crappy is is.

No, what the fuck lol

There are things called industry standards. Built upon those you have product standards. Most likely in ideal scanerio where a company makes a bad product, the "loyal" consumer would and should complain. The company should listen to the loyal consumers and adjust necessary changes to address those complaints whether it be a new update product or a revamped version

Companies are failing because they are too greedy

I never said they shouldn't complain. But the fact remains, they still bought a crappy product because of brand loyalty. If you're actually figuring out which brand is making the better product and not just buying the product made by the brand you're loyal to, then you're not showing brand loyalty. You're being a consumer that buys things not based solely on brand.

And the company will most likely listen to whatever group of consumer is giving them the most money. They don't care about only your loyalty, they care about your money as well. And honestly, they probably care about the money more than the loyalty. Because they know people who buy solely on loyalty will buy the product anyways.

There are brands I prefer, but I am not going to buy them because of the brand unless the brand does extra things like life tome warrenties or something.

That's not remotely true, a lot of companies make only great products, however they're not necessarily going to be always the most up to date or best suited to you.

Why does this keep coming up?
Alot of Millennials seem to be stuck to the apple brand.

And also they always seem to get one or two brands of clothes, that fit their style.

The ones that keep bring this up are big chain restaurants that millennials are not eating at.

I used to exclusively buy Dr Sholls shoes because they eliminated my back pain. Then suddenly one year I started having back trouble and sure enough Dr Sholls had recently been bought out by another company and all their product reviews started going down.

So now I only buy New Balance shoes.

We live in an era where information about better products is extremely easy to come by. If they aren't ignorant of better products, people have no reason to stick with a brand that isn't working as well.
