Mecha Chief, Cloud Strife and Crono have challenged Mega Man and Pit to a fight! Location of the fight: Robot Museum - Though the mechanical relics once stored here are now removed, the large glass chambers remain as plentiful but destructible cover in this not especially large, but especially dark, complex. Attackers will start at the courtyard, while defenders will start in the boss room, as seen in Mega Man 7.. Which side will win?


Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

-You do not need to require justification for your vote, though the admins reserve the right to disqualify votes in the advent of obvious alt voting and other similar scenarios.

Mecha-Chief is a mechanized version of Master Chief at the end of Halo 3, and is accompanied by a replica of his brilliant AI companion Cortana. He possesses resilient SPARTAN-II armor equipped with a rechargeable energy shield, though conventional weapons are capable of bringing it down in the context of this battle. Chief currently has the MJOLNIR Mark VI armor, which is capable of healing moderate injuries over time, numbing pain, providing precise long range vision and tracking, better mobility, and both faster and stronger shields. He is equipped with two non-broken UNSC weapons of his owner's choice (energy sword is okay, Support weapons and Spartan Laser are not), a limited assortment of frag/plasma grenades, and a single item (equipment) of his choice, save for "Invincibility." Mecha-Chief does NOT have the memories of the original, nor the ability to deliver complex plans on his own. Reasoning is based on calculation and logic rather than emotion (in other words, more robotic).

Crono is as he appears in Chrono Trigger (DS), with his best non-broken equipment and all his techs save for Life. Dual/Triple techs with other Crono Trigger characters are allowed.

Cloud Strife is as seen in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, with access to the First Tsurugi and any abilities/skills granted by that equipment. He additionally has access to all magic (green) FF7 materia and his wing from Kingdom Hearts.

Pit is as he appears in Kid Icarus Uprising, with access to all Palm weapons, a Dark Pit Staff, and a Phosphora Bow. He also has his moveset from Super Smash Bros. 4, but without his Final Smash or any gameplay elements such as overshield. He's not connected to any Goddesses, so no Powers or Flight from them.

Mega Man is as seen in Mega Man Series. He has access to his Mega Buster, his Magnet Beam, all of his weapons from the mainline Mega Man series (1-10) aside from the Time Stopper, Flash Stopper, Gravity Hold, Centaur Flash and Astro Crush and his moveset from Marvel vs Capcom 2, but may only use his hypers if he has enough meter and the necessary robots are present. He also has a variety of weapons based on his defeated foes, allowing him to use Soul Steal, as seen in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. He will immediately reanimate to full health at his starting location once if he dies.

We've got 'em at long range. They have to traverse a fairly long hall (

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Iyb6gkP61k ) with Mega Man and Pit's Dark Pit Staff blasting at them. Dark Pit Staff is specifically designed for long range fighting. Most of Pit's stuff appears to have some degree of homing capability, too. Mecha-Chief is good, but not good enough to win a shootout against MM AND Pit, especially with MM getting a second life. Cloud and Crono aren't useless at range, but they're out of their element and out of their league if they try to hang back for a firefight. Thus, the front line will be forced to push, and get ripped up.

Even if Cloud and Crono get into melee range, MM has several short-range and barrier weapons available, and all of Pit's stuff can also be used in melee or close range to varying degrees. I'm not sure I trust Chief to do much firing into melee to help. They also don't have tons of anti-air if Pit starts flying.

anyway my argument stands even if it's shorter than I thought. Cloud and Crono are gonna take significant damage on the approach, aren't so great in melee that MM and Pit can't finish the job, and then Chief doesn't quite have the tools to win a 1v2 shootout, with MM nearly matching him in firepower and beating him on versatility, terrain knowledge, and probably durability too.

Well how we ran it in m4 is you were able to. Honestly though almost think his weapons don't matter and literally any two Halo guns could do it here.

Yeah the more I think about it.

Mechachief could do this with grenades and literally any two weapons here and any one power up. Especially considering pretty much every power up he's allowed to pick would directly counter Tom's range strategy. Cloak, bubble shield, overshield, blinding flare. Think only one that wouldn't is the gravity lift.

Cloud and Crono are pretty capable backup too.

A mecha chief is going to destroy this terrain and on top of it if I want Cloud and Crono to melee Cheif is going to give excellent cover fire.
Not to mention Chief is going to be able to Cloak too..

Pretty sure it's how ghetto customizations were done in m1 actually. Don't think Chief was locked into the same weapons every fight anyway.
