Dreaming_King 06/18/17 11:50:35 AM #1:	I don't care about trends or fads so I never sought out the things, but my friend got one and showed it to me the other day. The first thing that comes to mind, and I know from a 5 second google search that I'm far from the first to think of this, is that with some modifications it could be used as a weapon. Standard shurikin were mostly used just to harass or misdirect an enemy, since their light weight prevented them from causing deep wounds. To get around that, poison was sometimes used, so even a light scratch could potentially bring someone down. I think this is where a fidget shurikin would excel, since you could add "hooks" that would tear into flesh from the spinning motion, given more force by the throw itself. That, and with enough skill it would be possible to make these razor sharp hooks retractable, letting you hide the weapon in plain sight/take it into a place weapons are barred from, unlike a typical shurikin.
