The idea came to me a bit ago, wouldn't it be cool to play 3ds games on the Switch? I mean the 3ds has a crazy good library, but the lack of dual screens kinda ruins it ehh?

Why not just connect two Switches together then? The screen is touch sensitive anyways so it'd work, ahh but what about the 3d? Nintendo could sell an additional 3d screen of the same dimensions as the normal Switch then.

There's no reason they couldn't also make a device that slides on the system using the joy-con rails and also has rails for the 3d screen to slide on and off. The device would essentially turn the Switch into a giant (or XXL) HD 3ds that can also play the best Wiiu and original Switch games (hence "Super Star" like the Ps4 "Pro").

The touch screen would also allow another control scheme in just emulating the 3ds buttons on screen. This would save space and make the system more portable. If you wanted to use it at home, you could plug the 3d screen into the dock to display the top 3ds screen on the TV while the bottom screen was in your hands like the DS virtual console games on WiiU, this wouldn't work well with all games though...

So what do you think? The drawing is slap dash, but I think it gets the idea across.

Be serious for a second, would you? Why would you weaponize a video game console?

Actually that gave me an idea...

I actually hope they eventually make it so you can play 3DS games on the switch. I have a 3DS but it is one of the original models so it isn't super comfortable to play. I'd like to play the new Metroid game but don't want to buy a new 3DS just to play it comfortably.

Kinda off topic, but when I was thinking about that game ARMS, I wondered why Nintendo couldn't make a LEGS. It would be easy to come out with straps that could let people attach the joy-con to their legs after all.

I'll tell you whut', capacitive buttons are horrible.

Take that away since the Switch could just use its own real buttons, and buying a second switch (an extra $300) just to play 3DS games doesn't sound like a valuable deal when things like the 3DS/2DS XL exist for much cheaper.

Maybe what I can get behind is an extension to the Switch that adds nothing more than a second screen and cartridge slot for $60-$100, along with 3DS emulation software for the Switch itself. I don't really see that happening, but I can't say that wouldn't be pretty cool.

(On an alt and I don't have editting yet)

I also don't see why Nintendo couldn't add two virtual screens side by side on the Switch's one big screen.

I second this. As much as I love emus, I still have to use some form of physical controller with them. On screen buttons are just so lacking for anything except playing RPGs.
