Not really tbh.

Still dealing with the depression and the lack of sleep. The outpatient program was $500 a week so I couldn't afford that.

Move out in 3 weeks and I'm not even near ready. Falling into old patterns like gaming nonstop and being ambivalent to everything. Health wise I'm doing pretty decently at the least...40 pounds down so that's good. I haven't been on gamefaqs that much..half my active posts are probably in this topic.

Yeah gonna get together with my friend tomorrow and hang out. Haven't seen him since shortly after the hospital, so it should be fun. Gonna try our hand at Sonic Mania 2 player no save run.

Thanks for asking.

Glad to hear you're doing better. While gaming can be a good stress-reliever I recommend putting yourself on a schedule and pacing yourself on what you're doing. Once you get past that time, get off even if you have to force yourself to

I honestly don't even know who's next.

Can't sketch very well lately and ink. Last drawing I did was two weeks ago, and I did it because I wanted to redraw some of my old favorites on my imgur.

Turned out pretty good.

Little better.

Day by day. Been gradually getting more sleep according to my fitness tracker at least. Don't have the manic energy anymore so being creative is really hard atm which is why I've been avoiding this topic.

I know. I have a day planner I've been using, and I'm going to schedule alarms on my phone a week before moving out.

Hey, if you're still doing this, it would be awesome if you could draw the following:

feeding this character (Gargwa from MH):

Have you tried Loomis's method for the head?

While I do start with a gesture, my problem is that I try to put in too much detail during that stage. It should be very loose approximations of the positions of the features rather than following the contour.

Not bad, the positions of the features look better now. I would just say to practice more circles (spheres) so that the head has a real solid sense of volume.

Any redos on the first page.

Haven't had a lot of time in general. 200 pages of History for the current week. 50 pages or so on the weekend if I want to read ahead so the load is lighter in the week. The other two classes I'm taking <_<.

I usually come home from class around 6:00PM. Read a bit, and then head to bed...

I've played 4 hours of video games over the past two weeks which is down significantly then when I was at home. Outside of that I don't really have any media might get a Hulu subscription, but that will lead to more procrastination.

It's intense.

I think they've been looking better since you've started trying the Loomis method.

Drawing is just so complex, but I hope you keep working at it. Even with Loomis, an understanding of anatomy and volume is what will really make the drawings better.

I've been feeling pretty down about my own art since I see people online 10 years younger than me already doing drawings like this:

It's just a bit depressing to have been drawing for 25 years and see 19-22 yeas olds who can draw way better than me.

Practice makes better.

That's why I stopped for a long time. When I turned 20 my creativity really took a nose dive, and it's when my bi-polar depression started appearing. There's some days I can't draw a figure sketch or basic cartoon..some days where I'm really feeling myself.

I never really cared for neo classicism. I get that it's technically impressive, but it's just so boring and pale. I really love modern/post modern/post post modern art.

But I've heard you need to be classically trained before going into abstract territory.

First inked sketch in 2 months I want to say. Barely getting my dexterity back.

I think here, the legs could turn a bit more to match the perspective of the upper body. If you want to draw her facing a bit outward, the upper body would also have to tilt a bit forward. The best thing to do would be to lightly draw an oval (ribcage), a short cylinder emanating from the bottom, and a connection to a box (pelvis). From there, you can draw the box facing in the angle you want to and the ribcage will more easily be connected to it in the correct perspective.
