I want to play it, but I do have a lot of mobile games already. Then again, fire emblem heroes barely needs any time so maybe it will be find to pick this one up to if it is fun.

I read up a bit about the game, and I know you want to pick Hercules as your free hero man if you don't get him from your tutorial roll.

Hercules is easy modo for the start of the game, but falls off hard later.

You actually get three 4*s to start off. Saber Lily (Decent skills, but only 3* stats. But cute), guaranteed 4* from first ten-roll, and pick a 4*.

It's all about what characters you like, though. While some are better than others (Waver (Caster) is a free win through the entire story with his buffing skills), the upgrade system means that plenty of people have played through the story with 3* characters (or even 1* and 2* characters). All star levels have usable skills so it just comes down to stats which make up the difference. Hans Christian Andersen is a 1* that shows up on quite a few teams.

I'm going to try for characters I don't have on JP, so Jeanne and then picking Martha or Camilla.

And yeah, 9PM PST/midnight EST... but be prepared for the servers to die hard from rerolling for the first day(s).

Siegfried - Such a disappointment it's a meme
Le Chevalier d'Eon - Good tank. Cute
EMIYA - Depends on whether he gets the buffs right away or not, can be pretty bad or great
Elizabeth Bathory - Decent Lancer, but 3* Cu is just too good. Also not dumb and not cute
Marie Antoinette - Basically immortal. Cute.
Saint Martha - Very useful defensive support. Punches dragons
Stheno - My starter in JP. Weaker than her 3* sisters
Carmilla - Like Emiya, depends on if she starts with buffs. Extremely cute
Heracles - See earlier post
Tamamo Cat - Better Berserker pick than Heracles, because she has multi-target damage on her NP and a heal to boost survivability

Arturia (Saber) - OG Saberface, works well with all teams, can't go wrong. Cute
Altera - Hits very hard, more selfish skillwise than Arturia. Cute
Zhuge Liang/Waver - Gamebreaking support, basically free win. Also cute
Vlad III - Weird, but very usable. Not cute, but a cool uncle
Jeanne - Battles last forever but so will your team. Very cute

Rainbow popsicle sword Saber is Altera, so yes.

Wine-drinking demon girl is an Assassin who comes much later.

Yes, and she is one of the best characters in the game. She won't be in at launch though.

You might be thinking about Assassin of Red though, who also wears mostly black and almost no red.

The character I'm recently seeing the most fanart for is some real stupid looking woman with giant bull horns. Gotta be something there to make her popular because she looks super lame.

Googled Assassin of Red and have never seen the character before. There are probably tons I've never seen since my only Fate experience is F/SN and seeing random fanart every now and then of characters outside of that like the ton of Saber "clones", the horn demon girl LtM mentioned and Assassin of Black.

Seems her name is Shuten Douji. I see her eeeeeeeverywhere, and have been for like a year. She's the only one that seems to consistently get the same amount of fanart.

There were others aside from her who were in more than one class! That one cat/fox girl was in 2 or 3 I think and there were some duos in 2 of them. There were also some characters that basically looked the same, but had (Prototype) too.

Fox (and cat) girl is Tamamoe-no-Mae, and eventually there will be nine versions of her because of shenanigans in her original story.

There's also multiple characters based off of the same source, like Elizabeth Bathory is based on the person that was the Countess and Camilla is based off of the legend of the Countess.

From the sounds of it, 1*s aren't totally useless like they are in other games, but they are obviously the weakest units in the game

"1-Star Servants - Bronze Servants, they cap at levels 20, 30, 40, 50, and max cap at 60. These servants are the weakest in the game, but are mostly used because some of them have skills and NPs that make them worthwhile in certain teams. Can only be obtained from the friendship gacha, only 6 exist in the game and none are going to be added beyond those 6. Can only be burned for QP. Tend to not be resource intensive for ascension and skill levelling making them easier to level "

I got to the tutorial summon. I didn't really get anything for Servants since most of what I got were items I think. Got 2 3* Alexander and a Robin Hood. I'm gonna be rolling for Saber anyways though so we'll see how long that takes

martha and marie antoinette to start on the first pull. wasn't gunning for either of them but two 4* pulls is hard to pass up.

4 4* servants - martha, marie, carmilla, siegfried.
4 4* craft essences - 2x divine banquet (NP Gain +25%), Gandr (Quick Card effectiveness +15%), Antumbra (Crit Strength +25%), Angel's Song (NP strength +25%), and beginning of the journey which... i assume everyone gets.

tempted to re-roll for a 5* but don't know how important they are.
