Tomorrow at the latest. What do you think will come of it?

Personally, I think they'll choose to let the lower injunctions stand. Alito, Gorsuch and Thomas dissenting.

That was Trump's original excuse. Some nonsense about a 90 day ban "while we figure out what's going on". Welp, it's been almost twice that with ZERO outside Islamic terrorist attacks on American soil. Seems like our current policies are perfectly adequate.

Because the ban greatly limited the number of refugees entering the US this year regardless of the court decisions:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2017/05/04/refugee-admissions-donald-trump-migrants/101036264/

So you're kind of making an argument in favor of it.

Not really though. The last outside Islamic terrorist attack was what? Orlando? Our policies are already quite stringent.

Apologies if I am off base.

You aren't off base. The ban is important to Trump because it was a campaign promise. Thus far, he's broken far, far more campaign promises than he's kept, so he needs a check in the win column for once. And yes, arming Saudi Arabia is very hypocritical in this case. Especially since he loved to shit on Obama and Hillary for funding them.

Okay, that one slipped my mind. How about the two before that? Trying to get an idea of frequency. I would never be the person to call attacks in Europe "isolated incidents", but from my recollection, the Ohio State attack fits that description. Wasn't that the guy who drove a car in and started knifing people? Compared with other attacks, that seems highly unorganized and rather random.

It's important to Trump because most of his support comes from inbred hicks I'm flyover states where they've never seen a Muslim but are terrified of evil brown people coming to blow up buttfuck Kansas population 200.

Therefore he's attacking refugees to score points even though a fear of terrorism is ridiculous and changing are values is letting the terrorists win.

Because it's a reasonable compromise. If Trump had proposed this as a measure, it might have never been denied. He wants a complete ban on Muslim travel though. Though I'm not liberal, so maybe they want fully open borders.

Everyone with half a brain sees the problems that letting millions of refugees into Western Europe caused, and doesn't want that to be repeated in the U.S.

While you may not agree with a complete Muslim travel ban, it's no worse a solution than Obama's, which was "let's pretend Islam has nothing to do with Islamic terrorism." We had a record number of Islamic terrorist attacks under Obama's watch, and continuing to do nothing as the problem grows isn't a solution.

Let's ban all guns then because if we're going to change all of our values over irrational fears guns are a great target to.

This ban just shows that Americans are willing to bend over backwards for terrorists. We no longer have a back bone, irrational fear is causing us to cower instead of acting with dignity.

The funniest thing is that this isn't supported in New York city, where if anywhere in America should be scared or upset they would have the right, it's not supported in San Francisco or LA or Chicago or Miami where a terrorist attack might happen. It's not supported in the big cities that have Muslim populations and real with them.

It's supported in middle America where they talk of patriotism and doing what's right and how tough they are. Places that a terrorist wouldn't think of attacking because it wouldn't make the news. It's supported by small minded people who despite never meeting a Muslim live in absolute fear of them.

February was when people were having weekly protests about the ban, and before the two recent attacks in the U.K. If anything, this is as favorable a poll as you will be able to find for your position.

So your conjecture is that the poll results from February are still relevant? The most current available data has it split, and even that was from a month and a half back. His support has been steadily decreasing since then. It would be absurd to assume anything he supports is somehow more popular now when he is less liked.

What is racist about my position again?

The part about this being supported only by "ignorant whites." First off, you have no evidence that it's just whites -- and not also blacks, Hispanics, and Asians -- who support this. And secondly, even if it was 100% supported by whites, that 54% would mean you're calling three-quarters of the total white population "uneducated."

At this point it's probably better to just admit you were emotional and just being hyperbolic. This doesn't get any better for you if you want to start defending your position based on any of the actual data.
