The crowd gathered at 2pm as they all wore Trump themed shirts and carried signs into the coffee chain to stage a SIT-IN as they all began ordering cups of coffee using names of members of the president's cabinet, including Mike Pence and Jeff Sessions Shellie Anderson said "I gave them the name Trump and..they were very gracious about it. We just wanted to reverse the little negativity..it's really good to come together and take something negative and just come in here and be respectful" A Republican official said the sit in was to highlight the need for business establishments to respect customers with competing political viewpoints. James Tatro said "We wanted the staff to see that Trump supporters are just as human as anyone else. We live in a diverse city. It's unacceptable in a modern society to make a customer feel uncomfortable, whether it's a liberal business mistreating a conservative customer or a conservative business mistreating a liberal customer" Kayla Hart was the customer who made the big fuss about an employee apparently "laughing" when she ordered a coffee and had the phrase "Build That Wall" written on her cup which she viewed as OFFENSIVE!! She sobbed and was outraged when that occurred and felt embarrassed as people "looked" at her and just walked out. She called corporate to report the inappropriate message and said "I don't know what politics has to do with getting a cup of coffee. I just walked out because everyone was staring. I just found it really sad that i can't wear a t-shirt with our president being made fun of" James said Starbucks apology was acceptable but said what happened to Kayla was "terrible" because it HURT HER FEELINGS and discouraged her from being involved in politics and said they HAD to stand up for one of their own Do you think this protest was pointless? let's see what people think. If all the customers really were staring at her, it's because of her overreaction, not because she was a Trump supporter. This does not seem to have occurred to her.
