Do you think Mia was right to TKO him?

A Kid from San Antonio, Texas got more than he expected when he tried to get a picture with a former porn star, Mia Khalifa as the Lebanese beauty TKO'D him for doing so!!

He snapped a selfie with her without asking and the 20 y/o then PUNCHED him in the face...although he didn't seem upset by it.

He posted the picture of him with her and then the shiner on his face and wrote "Got a pic with Mia Khalifa and she punched me in the face and left a bruise" with 2 laughing emojis

The former porn star is known for publicly humiliating former Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly last year where she posted screengrabs on Twitter of the 23 y/o football player's attempt to seduce her by repeatedly asking her to Facetime him

Do you think she was right to punch him? let's see what people think.

She was just in the background, topic title made it sound like he sneaked up close to her and took it. That's fucking nothing, they're out in public, a celebrity should be used to getting pictures taken, she wasn't even in some sort of embarrassing position/pose, just standing there. He was an annoying twerp, but that doesn't justify assault.

Can you imagine if he cried about how she punched him or said it hurt? Dude would be a laughing stock all across the internet for being a "wimp". Laughing it off is literally the only response he can have that doesn't make him a joke.

Well he didn't assault her. It was just a picture. Yes invasion of privacy but i feel a good deck in the face is worth it. Now if he was stalking her and all of that, that be a different story. But a quick photo of a celeb is not something that is terrible. What you want to lock people up for annoying others? He wasn't bullying her or sticking around after the pic. Got the pic and a deck then left her alone. Unless their is more to the story it was not a serious matter to get anyone arrested.

TKO = technical knockout, which is a ref stoppage to a match. Given that she's a tiny little girl who only bruised him and, if he wanted to retaliate, his punch would have shattered something, it's not a TKO.

No, that's assault and a crime. She was in a public place (ie, no reasonable expectation of privacy) and had her photo taken. In what world does that justify violence? Frankly, she's lucky he didn't press charges.

Clearly he wasn't in "her personal space" from the photo. He was several feet away from her. She had no legal recourse to strike him. She had no ethical recourse to strike him. She was 100% in the wrong.

You're right. You for instance - for not recognizing that this is a question of decorum and not a question of personal freedom. So don't talk shit.

He is of course free to take that picture, if he wants to be a giant fucking douchebag, and she is of course technically in the wrong for hitting him.

But you can't make me sympathize with the guy for having his right to facial integrity violated.

The only thing I can really defend him with is that she's a celebrity, and celebrities (in an abstract sense) trade a degree of privacy for money. I know who Mia Khalifa is despite almost never watching porn in general*, let alone seeing one of her videos specifically. So she's clearly pretty famous, and this is something famous people need to learn to cope with if only for their own sanity.

Yeah but was it really That necessary to punch him in the face for it?
I mean, I bet a male pornstar wouldn't punch a girl if she took a picture of him without his permission.
Mostly because if he punched a girl, he would probably get arrested.

Kinda funny how things can change if you just swap the genders.

Anyways, couldn't she just ask him to delete the picture instead of/before using violence?

I like how people will defend her saying she was right to hit him in the face but there are much more heinous acts done to men and we are expected to keep our cool and never "resort to violence", where as this girl gets a free pass.

As I said before if the roles were the other way around I'd also say the same thing. This whole "you shouldn't hit a gal" shit is old fashioned views at best. If a girl attacks me you darn right I'd smack her back for example. Girls are not some fragile purslane dolls. Some are much more like a bloke than I'll ever be. o.0

No, assault isn't a good response to having your picture taken when you don't want it.

In the sense that you're doing something without permission from the other person yeah. I thought my point was clear enough.

lolwut? Even overlooking that the two aren't remotely comparable, nothing he did required her permission. He has every legal right to take a photo in public, nor is it morally wrong to do so. You'd have to get all the way down to social wrong which, besides being arbitrary, is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

It would be a crime regardless would it not? So that makes no sense.

If he had physically jumped in front of her and was suddenly less than half an arm's length away, she could argue that she was acting in self-defense because she didn't know what he was doing.

You'd think a pornstar of all things wouldn't give a fuck if someone took their picture.
Considering they have done lots of nasty shit in front of a camera on the Internet for money for years.

That's like saying a porn star shouldn't mind getting raped as she's had lots of sex over the years. Without permission you don't invite yourself.

I gotta agree with this.

You mean you agree that rape is bad or that you agree taking a photo is comparable to rape? Because nobody is disputing the first whereas anybody with any sense would reject the second. After all, rape is a crime... just like assault. You know what's not a crime, though? Taking a person's photo in a public area.
