Well Nintendo's factories are busy, I think they just make as many as they can. With the Switch they can't help it either because the parts used are also used by smartphones, so there is a shortage. Hell you can go into stores and have trouble finding a 3ds. People may talk about it but in the end, not responding to the demand is a worst scenario.
