Just did a interview with them, seemed like a good job, then i read the glassdoor reviews. A lot of people say its basically a pyramid scheme. Some others say its a good job etc. Anyone have hands on experience with this company before?

At the very least it appears to be a commission only sales job. So you'll need to make a lot of sales to make any $$$

Never heard of them, but there are a lot of red flags. Sports marketing and promotional marketing are usually things which raise an eyebrow. There's talk of aggressive expansion on the careers page. The "management training" mention is always disconcerting.

If you don't have any employment at all, it might be good for a short-term paycheck but I wouldn't pin any hopes on it.

A lot of people say its basically a pyramid scheme.

Most promotional marketing companies are set up like multi-level marketing companies, so they're inherently sketchy. As long as they're not requiring you to pay into the system or making you buy product which you then sell, it's probably safe enough.

Thanks for the feedback man. Glad to know it's not a pyramid scheme. That was my biggest worry.

Yeah, skimmed their website and this looks bad. A whole lot of words with very little substance.

I got roped into an interview with a company called "Syndicate Marketing Group" while I was job hunting. They call themselves a marketing consultant company, and I was applying for some management training program (similar to the one you applied for). They flaunted DirecTV as their biggest client, which led my naive mind into thinking that they were legit.

Well, the "job" entailed setting up a table at Wal-Mart in the electronics section and harassing shoppers into buying DirecTV. Needless to say, I walked out of there ASAP.

In all likelihood, you're getting into something like that. So, yeah, if you're absolutely unemployed and need a "right now" paycheck, then go for it. But don't expect it to yield any good long-term career results.
