But halfway through, I realized genesis would just get obliterated. In all honesty, I prefer Genesis (cause I grew up with it), but aside from Sonic 2, 3 and knuckles it would literally have no chance.

Are there any other reasonable console wars or other topics that would put up an even and close battle?

Mega Drive was my preference back in the day. Come to think of it I've never really stuck with Nintendo. I've bought the odd console/portable system but always seemed to lean the other way. Even more so as I got older. I've still a mild interest though.
