Bayonetta, Shao Kahn, Sephiroth, Dracula and Neclord have challenged Raiden (MGR), Raiden (MK), Dr. Wily, Splash Woman, Bass.EXE, Lailah/Mikleo/Edna/Dezel and Raziel to a fight! Location of the fight: Sky Temple - As seen in the Mortal Kombat X, a temple among mountains where it is constantly raining and night-time. Access to the rest of the temple including the Jinsei Chamber is permitted, though access to the rest of the world is not allowed. Teams will start the fight separated 2 meters from each other. The entire terrain and every mercenary will start the match ablaze. Which side will win?

Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Neclord is as seen in Suikoden II, with all of his attacks shown in Suikoden I and Suikoden II. He retains his extreme resistance to damage from non-holy based magic and weapons from the Moon Rune, as well as any attacks seen in the gameplay granted by the rune. However, he will lose these resistances if struck by the Star Dragon Sword and cannot otherwise use the rune for curses or anything else.

Dracula appears as he does in Chapter 6 of Harmony of Despair, Hard Mode. He has access to all of his attacks, though his seduction attack can't brainwash females, and can freely transform between all three of his forms. Additionally, he has all of his attacks from Order of Ecclesia, except for that game's version of Demonic Megiddo.

Bayonetta is as she appears in Bayonetta 2, with all techniques and upgrades purchased, all her equippable weapons from Bayonetta 2, and the Eternal Testimony and Infernal Communicator accessories. She can't travel to other realms, use Torture Attacks, or perform Climax Attack summons, and her Witch Time only works as it does in gameplay.

Shao Kahn is as he appears in the Mortal Kombat series, with all of his moves, although he may only use fatalities if an opponent has been sufficiently weakened.

Sephiroth is as seen in Final Fantasy 7, Crisis Core, Dissidia, Advent Children Complete, and Kingdom Hearts 1&2, with access to all spells, materia, and abilities displayed within. This includes spells/abilities from Safer/Bizzaro Sephiroth, though he may not transform into either of those forms. He may not cast Heartless Angel, FFVII's Supernova, Pale Horse, Stop, or Break.

Dr. Wily is as he appears in Mega Man 10 in his respective Wily Machine. He does not have access to the Wily Capsule. Wily cannot exit his machine and will be considered defeated when his machine is defeated.

Splash Woman is as seen in Mega Man 9. Her trident is now capable of hovering slightly above the ground even if not in the water. She is not limited to using her boss patterns exclusively. She will attempt to work solo in battle, actively splitting up from their team if possible.

Bass.EXE is as he appears in the Megaman Battle Network series, with access to all the moves and properties of his Omega forms (including Bass Omega GS), though if any of his barriers/auras is destroyed, he loses access to all of them for the rest of the fight. He can operate here same as he does on the Net. He has a loadout of Samus Aran's equipment from Metroid Prime 3, giving him Nova Beam, Corruption Mode, Upgraded Grapple, X-Ray Visor, and Command Visor w/Gunship. He has come to battle with the Star Dragon Sword.

Lailah, Mikleo, Edna and Dezel are accompanying Bass.EXE into battle. They are as they appear in Tales of Zestiria, with an endgame skill build. They will enter battle with 5 Blast Gauges, and will be permanently invisible and inaudible to Sephiroth. Only one Seraph may be on the battlefield at a time, with Dezel beginning on the battlefield, and the others dwelling inside him. He may swap between them as seen in the game, and inactive seraphim will heal gradually over time, including from death, but they are considered defeated once Bass.EXE is killed.

Raiden is as he appears in Mortal Kombat X, with access to all of his fighting styles, moves, and powers.

Raziel is as he appears in Legacy of Kain: Defiance, with all of his upgrades, equipment, and abilities from that game, with the exception of Phase Shifting and Possession. Once per match if he dies, he will immediately reanimate to full health at his starting location.

Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game. He doesn't require Zandatsu to recover. He has access to roughly one full bar of energy for Blade Mode and Ripper Mode. He has no mysterious lightning powers here, either. He has unlimited access to Ripper Mode for this week's battle.

I'll keep this brief out of necessity. The two most important things for my team are Bayonetta and Seph's spells. Bayonetta is the biggest baddest beast here and Seph has got debuffs (curing and teleports too) like Stigma that hit the enemy party. Slow in FF7 is a 50% reduction so slap that on these bros and then Bayonetta can dismantle them.

Very close range right. No time to get buffs up to start. My guys are more tanky. Ripper mode close range is brutal. Bass has good aoe. Life aura and gunship is good. If they do get any buffs up seraphin steal them

Actually it went more like "Kahn kicks the shit out of Raiden over a 5 minute cutscene, then Raiden gets a Super Elder God powerup, shoots Kahn with a God Kamehameha. Kahn laughs at it. Then you win the final boss fight vs Kahn, win that, Raiden shoots him with *another* God Kamehameha, and finally the stupid Elder Gods finally show up to drag Kahn off to Hell"

I argued Ripper mode at close range vs. Drac and friends in M4 in the wii fit studio which was optimal conditions and I don't really think this is optimal conditions.

Bayonetta >> Raiden => Seph > Raziel => Shao => Bass > Drac > Raiden (MK) > The Rest (Bass would normally be way higher but this is a bad terrain for him and Seph teleporting helps mitigate his teleporting)

Raziel's second life might make a difference here but if MGS Raiden has died and Bayonetta is still alive it probably doesn't really matter anyways

Team Bayonetta

Just stronger overall. Bayonetta > ripper Raiden > Sephiroth > Raziel for the melee powerhouses of the group, and that's before taking into account Slow from Sephiroth. Also Dracula can do work with the enemy team bunched up two meters from him to start the match. (probably not Demonic Megiddo in such close quarters with his own team. but giant lasers, massed fire pillars, etc.)

I don't think the fire matters -- the top fighters are generally tanky enough not to care too much, and it's raining.

I'm not sure if he does, but I think his team can win without it. Landing a Slow on Raiden would be a big deal but (as you pointed out) easier said than done with the teams in such close range and Raiden being very fast.

Safer Sephiroth would open with Slow in the Japanese version of FF7. Is it a good idea? Probably not, but he's got precedent for doing it.

The whole thing with bayo is she doesnt get hit by shit. Is there anyone who can hit her consistently? This is compounded by the slow.

Bass has the SDS and has to hit Neclord to remove his resistances.

I think the fire plays a bigger deal than many are considering. They start engulfed in flames. Sure it is raining but rain doesn't just put out an engulfed fire right away.

I question whether Bass would have tons of problems with his circuitry being engulfed in a flame to start.

It's really close, but I think the seraphim's heal support gives Team Double Raiden a slight edge. It helps that they have to die 4 times before they're really dead, so they should be alive a while to provide support. The other team really doesn't have the numbers to spare on taking them out, and if Dracula tries his AoE he's likely to hit his own team in this terrain. Bayonetta's team has a slight power advantage, but the healing overcomes that.
