Jack Krauser, Rydia, Isaac, Argath Thadalfus and Ocelot have challenged Shen, Lee Sin, Ahri, Lucian and Lulu to a fight! Location of the fight: Summoner's Rift - A forested area with two fortresses at opposing ends, joined by three clear lanes and bisected by a shallow stream. No minions or neutral creatures are present, and towers will not fire. Attackers start on the red side base, with defenders starting at the blue side fountain.. Which side will win?


Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

- Bold your votes (using bold HTML tags).
- You do not need to require justification for your vote, though the admins reserve the right to disqualify votes in the advent of obvious alt voting and other similar scenarios.

Argath Thadalfus is as seen in Final Fantasy Tactics. He comes to battle equipped with the same gear and ability setup used during his boss fight at Fort Zeakden, and Auto-potion will function here as though he had infinite potions, though any potions on his person will not be otherwise usable. His secondary skillset is White Magic with Cure and Protect learned.

Ocelot is as he appears by the end of Metal Gear Solid 3, armed with two Single Action Army revolvers.

Isaac is as he appears in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, with his best endgame equipment from The Lost Age. He has all the Golden Sun 1 Mars djinn, plus Iron and Salt, and all psynergy learned of his available classes from his current djinns (except Curse or Condemn), and has the Cloak Ball psynergy item. He can use summons as they appear in The Lost Age.

Krauser is as seen in his boss fight in Resident Evil 4, with the ability to use his Plaga Arm Blade Thrust, although he will not necessarily be able to one shot everything with it. He also has all of his moves and loadout items from 'The Mercenaries' and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, as well as the Thunderbolt skill from The Mercenaries 3D, granting his melee attacks an electrical effect. He has placed up to three C4 charges in what he believes to be strategic locations around the terrain before the beginning of the fight, which he can detonate at will. He will start away from his team with full knowledge of the terrain. He is expressly forbidden from placing them directly under or next to where the enemy team would begin the fight.

Rydia is as she appears in Final Fantasy IV and The After Years. She is equipped with typical endgame equipment. She may not use Meteo, Death, Break, Tornado, or any summons aside from Bahamut.

He is considered to be at max level and is equipped with a Randuin's Omen, Gargoyle Stoneplate, Ninja Tabi, Locket of the Iron Solari, Sunfire Cape and Spirit Visage, including all passives and actives. He does not have access to the benefits of runes, masteries or summoner spells.

Lee Sin is as he appears in League of Legends, its associated lore and cinematic trailers. He is considered to be at max level and is equipped with a Black Cleaver, Gargoyle Stoneplate, Warmog's Armor, Warrior Tracker's Knife, Mercury Treads and Randuin's Omen, including all passives and actives. He does not have access to the benefits of runes, masteries or summoner spells.

Ahri is as she appears in League of Legends, its associated lore and cinematic trailers. She is considered to be at max level and is equipped with a Hextech Protobelt, Sorcerer's Shoes, Void Staff, Luden's Echo, Morellonomicon and Rabadon's Deathcap, including all passives and actives. She does not have access to the benefits of runes, masteries or summoner spells.

Lucian is as he appears in League of Legends, its associated lore and cinematic trailers, including PROJECT: OVERDRIVE. He is considered to be at max level and is equipped with a Black Cleaver, Statikk Shiv, Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, Berserker Greaves and Youmuu's Ghostblade, including all passives and actives. He does not have access to the benefits of runes, masteries or summoner spells.

Lulu is as she appears in League of Legends, its associated lore and cinematic trailers. She is considered to be at max level and is equipped with a Frost Queen's Claim, Redemption, Ardent Censer, Mikael's Crucible, Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Zeke's Convergence, including all passives and actives. She does not have access to the benefits of runes, masteries or summoner spells.

Jack Krauser, an ex CIA operative places very usefully placed C4 and ambushes the bad guys with his laser sight crossbow while they are distracted. He also has a rocket launcher and a first aid spray.


ARGAGH THADALFUS is the mascot and leads his team into glorious battle.

Quick and dirty overview of each of the mercenaries on this event team:

-Shen: Sneaky ninja with a deadly spirit sword and magical chi arts capable of protecting his allies with potent shields and making all enemy attacks within an area miss outright. Acrobatic and very, very tanky, and can use ninja powers to taunt enemies. Can double his durability for a few seconds to endure burst attacks. Items passively burn enemies up by being close to them and can provide his team with fat damage-blocking shields equal to a third of his full durability.
-Lee Sin: Martial artist with tons of flippydoos and lots of power behind his attacks (not just his ultimate which sends people flying, but punches through bigass stone pillars in lore). Inflicts an up to 25% defense reduction on enemies as he damages them. Both him and Shen can passively slow the attacking speed of enemies who target them, and also halve enemy speeds with their items. Regenerates to full health in seconds if he manages to avoid combat for around ten secs.
-Ahri: Can fly through the air with her ultimate, can charm an enemy and make her walk towards her like a moron for a few secs irrespective of sex, fire off tracking spirit fires to enemies that get closeish to her, and her spirit orb deals damage that ignores defenses to enemies it hits. Her items let her ignore around 40% of an enemy's magic resist and give her more mobility, as well as the ability to unleash a burst of small rockets in an area once in a while.
-Lucian: Is equipped with laser handguns powerful enough to split a man in half with single shots and blow up shadowy creatures that completely no-sold normal gunfire, and is a specialist in gun kata. He can speed himself up by 40% for about six seconds, his attacks periodically produce powerful lightning blasts that arc to hit multiple foes, and about 20% of the damage he does is returned to him as healing, with excess health becoming a shield against further damage. Shreds armor up to around 35 to 40%.
-Lulu: Can turn enemies into little squirrelly creatures or slow them down for a few seconds at a time each. Can provide allies with damage blocking shields that also massively speed them up, and grant a fairy companion that basically acts like a Luma, shooting out energy projectiles with each attack. Oh yeah, and she turns people into giants who slow anyone around them for a solid chunk of time. Items let her drop a massive range, massive area damage + heal burst, erase crowd control effects + heal an ally, release slowing ghosts that reduce movespeed by around 40%, make her shields into haste effects that also grant vampiric strikes (a la drain), and most importantly, make her ultimate also grant a 50% damage buff + slowing on attacks for ten seconds.

Basically this teamcomp is what in League of Legends would be known as a 'juggernaut' comp - countless heals, shields and defenses are provided so Lucian, Lee Sin and Ahri (but especially Lucian, who is going to be absolutely insane when guarded by Lulu and ulted so he can fire off super-sized laser shots) can go ham on the enemy team's asses and never ever die, crushing everyone with parameter boosts out the ass. Timely CC from Shen, Lulu and Ahri makes enemies hit by it die like dogs. Lee Sin's super finely tuned senses (he's blind but has Daredevil style perception) and Shen's ninja training ensures they find Krauser before the enemy team does and kill him without the C4 causing too much trouble. ARGATH sucks and counterparts on the enemy team are outgunned (literally in the case of Ocelot, heh). If there's any questions, just let me know.

For reference on how ridiculous Lee Sin's senses are BTW:

The monk cocked his head to the side as though listening to sounds only he could hear and said "Three men. One with a blighted lung, another with a weak heart that will not see out the year."

The sightless monk turned and stared directly at Horta, though there was surely no way he could see him through the thick fabric bound across his eyes.

"You have a twist in your spine," he said. "It pains you in the winter and forces you to favor your left side."

None of them are even moving and he still manages to perceive them from the distance of a large temple chamber adorned with rows of statues. Similarly, Shen notices he's surrounded by assassins just by the small flicker of a candle in his own lore. Krauser picked a bad team to try an ambush here, I'm afraid.

Ahri in particular knows about explosives since she knows Graves (as seen in A New Dawn). Shen chases after Jhin who uses explosives too. So...yeah, depends on how much you respect technomagical boom but they have experience.

I mean, to use the example of Shen's expertise, Jhin uses traps that are literally shrapnel mines disguised as flowers, and which the latter states in his lore could cut down an entire crowded street in a flash. 'Unexpected sources of danger can fuck us up bad' is something they're not unfamiliar with. Grenades and bombs exist in their world too so the concept isn't alien either (and IIRC they were used in the Noxian invasion of Ionia). If you want literal showings vs C4 I can't provide them, but there's plenty of similarly harmless but highly dangerous things in their world. Odds are they'll be fine, especially because they can track Krauser and friends better than him and his buddies can find them, between Shen's stealth skills and ability to teleport around and Lee's super senses.

One of these teams has synergy, and the other is a bunch of jokers thrown together for the lulz. Rydia and Ocelot want a strong front line, and Isaac isn't going to do that by himself. ARGATH is worthless, and Krauser being away from his team isn't going to help. Krauser might get one guy in the ambush, but he's falling afterwards, and the rest of the team is just too poorly constructed to win. Team League

It just read really bad, mechanically it didn't have any flaws... but being a person that has done done the mechanics arguments before [I remember specific things about psycho zidane with passives brought up more than once], it was very painful to see because you have to be very precise on them, or it causes an extreme difference on of what is said happens, versus what it actually is worth.

The item shield is 36% of his bonus HP, which he can double. It's pretty huge. And yes, magic isn't blocked but that still turbonerfs Ocelot, Argath and Krauser completely.

Sure it does. This is an FMV environment, not just gameplay. Is there a reason why bigger bolts from bigger weapons shouldn't hurt more?

Last I checked, the regeneration is after ten seconds of being out of combat...which is what I said. 'Regenerates to full health in seconds if he manages to stay out of combat for ten secs'. As in, 10 secs of waiting, plus several seconds more of regen. You should read more closely.

Like...none of that was an attempt to misdirect, it was me being super concise and dispensing with overlong explanations because I had to write that argument in five minutes. This is why I said 'if anyone has any questions let me know', because it wasn't up to my preferred standards of clarity due to the necessity of getting something out the door ASAP.
