I had a conversation the other day with some classmates from my Linear Algebra/Differential Equations class--one of the classes required for an engineering major--and they claimed that they don't like math, despite being engineering majors. They say they like physics much more than math. As a math major, I feel like I hate physics as much as they hate math, and I like math as much as they like physics. On another note, is it hypocritical for me to say that I hate physics and love math because the former is a direct application of the latter, and the whole reason that calculus was formulated?

I must have these answers.

As an engineer, I love math. But some of my friends in college didn't really care for it.

My sister is studying to be an engineer. And she tells me that she loves physics....and don't care much for math.

I thought about this too and I always thought that people who study engineering MUST love math. I suppose that's incorrect. XD
