Not really, but I was legitimately sad when Carrie Fisher died and Debbie Reynolds shortly after.

Never anything beyond "Whoa, *insert celebrity here* died?" when they were young or it was otherwise unexpected.

No, not really.

I've never met one, and frankly you can count on one hand the celebrities who are actually respectable... and you'll have five fingers left.

I guess not hearing new MJ songs on the radio is an effect but not one I particularly care about.

Not really effected me but Bob Hoskins. I was sad for like an hour.

Reason: I used to watch Roger Rabbit all the freaking time when I was young and he played Eddie.

I would say shaken up for more than a day.

What about music? Or movies? Video games?

I cried during one movie I think.
Always tear up at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1 for whatever reason.
And if I hear a good version of Amazing Grace that does it for me as well.

I was definitely saddest over Heath Ledger. Was a fan of a lot of his movies.

I never saw much outside of him outside of Knight's Tale and Brokeback Mountain.

I actually think Brokeback Mountain is kind of underrated.

Robin Williams

Went to the Mrs. Doubtfire house shortly after his death and saw all the tributes written for him on the stones and trees outside the house. That definitely affected me. To see the impact a person can leave on so many people, it was inspiring.

Nier: Automata gave me a case of the feels.
Dave Brockie from GWAR's death made me really sad but it was also around the same time a friend of mine had died of cancer so that probably didn't help.

Iwata-san fucked me up a lot because of how they'd said he way getting better, but he was just secretly hiding the fact he was dying, so it came as a humongous surprise. That on top of how humongous and positive of an impact his work has had on my life.

David Bowie hit me hard too for similar reason, that he was hiding his illness from the public, so it was a huge tragic surprise that came during the midst of recording one of my own albums. So the thought of someone writing and recording an album while they had a terminal illness, while I was doing my own music work, fucked me up.

Steve Irwin too since I always liked up to him as a kid.

Yes, if I enjoyed their work I usually get upset when they die. I've never cried or been depressed but Chyna (who I met and idolized as a child), Carrie Fisher, Prince, George Michael and Robin Williams were the ones that stand out. Eddie Guerrero dying was upsetting too

I felt that way with a Japanese voice actress. She was my favorite and for many anime cons, I was hoping to God they'd get her to come as a guest. One year, she dropped her voicing of Soi Fong in Bleach and was hospitalized. She died at 42. I just built myself up so much in hopes that my con would get her here one year and it never happened. She did a bunch of characters I absolutely loved but unfortunately..... RIP.
