Dizzy has challenged Raiden to a fight! Location of the fight: Shell 2 - The right half of the Big Shell complex, housing struts G-L. All struts are fully accessible. Attackers will start on strut G, with defenders starting on the Shell 2 core.. Which side will win?


Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

Dizzy is as she appears in the Guilty Gear series, at the height of her powers, with access to all her moves other than gameplay mechanics, and she will not self destruct upon defeat.

Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game. He doesn't require Zandatsu to recover. He has access to roughly one full bar of energy for Blade Mode and Ripper Mode. He has no mysterious lightning powers here, either. He has access to unlimited Ripper Mode for this week's battle.

Anyway Raiden in Ripper Mode is pretty good but this isn't about what Raiden has, it is what he doesn't have: range! On this terrain there is enough space for Dizzy, who isn't feeling as nice as she usually does, to take advantage of that range.

Kind of cut and dry.

Raiden does have range. He has EMP, frag and flash grenades, a rocket launcher and I forget if there's anything else. Whether it's enough to beat Dizzy is a different story, but she's not the 'sit back and nuke from afar' type anyway, at least not at first.

So the match is at Shell 2. This is a pretty big advantage for Raiden, because he's been here before. He has a built-in radar, so he'll know where Dizzy is, and he knows all the best ambush places here, because he has experience sneaking through it. First strike advantage goes to Raiden.

Now what is Ripper Mode, you ask? Basically it gives the cutting power of Blade Mode to his normal attacks. He takes down Gekkos and helicopters in just a few slashes in Ripper Mode. He's a melee beast when he's in Ripper Mode.

Raiden and Dizzy couldn't be further apart when it comes to personality. When Raiden embraces Jack, he's bloodthirsty and violent. He even says he's part of the 2% of people who can kill without hesitation. Meanwhile, Dizzy is a girl who absolutely hates hurting others and violence, only using it as a last resort. Even without her pacifist clause, she won't go all out to start the match. That's a pretty big mistake against Jack the Ripper.

So to sum it up, Raiden has terrain knowledge, better melee, and a much better personality for a fight to the death.

Raidens not often talked about stealth skills come into play on a terrain he knows well, he beats Dizzy.

Dizzy's drawback is her personality, which is still a thing despite there not being bold text that says she won't attack anyone.

Would probably take Raiden to win on this terrain anyway assuming anything but gamefaqs dizzy who tries to blow up the entire terrain though. He's getting the drop on her and carving her up pretty cleanly here I think.

Fun fact about this terrain. It's 30 km off the coast of New York City. If Dizzy misses with that thing, she just nuked New York City and killed millions. There's a handful of people of mercs who would do that, but Dizzy is not one of them.

Okay the range on that thing isn't 30 KM let's be clear here.

Also can we not ignore in life and death situations Dizzy can get just a little bit cray cray. Also she's like, super durable. She has broken blades that have cut through building sized monsters. Her durability is really legit.

Raiden is using the Murasama blade, which was good enough to cut through Armstrong. Armstrong, who broke a normal HF blade that cuts through Metal Gear Excelsus. The Murasama blade is really really good. Better than Baiken's blade, definitely.
