I kinda agree about more equal rights for both parties because it makes sense for the guy to also decide if they want a kid or not. Except when it's a pregnancy from a rape. Fuck rapists, they don't deserve any rights.

My thing is, i have seen woman that use abortions as birth control. That shit is fuckin sick. Abortion should be the last resort and should have some looking into besides "im a woman and i want an abortion" i assume most abortions have some kind of counsiling or therapeutic examination before continuing. This isn't just "im a christian hero derp" balogna that people are spoiting as thenonly defenders of a fetish. It is a potential life incubating, to me that should mean something to people.

Now this law shouldn't effect woman who were raped, that's terrible and they should not be forced to have the baby. If a woman is raped she should immediately go to the doctor and get checked out anyways. Who knows what std's the guy had. They should file for rape and be able to get an abortion asap. But rape is a horrible thing on the psyche, so i understand needing a under the radar abortion.

But under normal circumstances (that is what we are talking about, non of this domestic abuse stuff, falls under rape in my eyes) the father should be informed. Maybe he doesn't have a right to choose but he should definitely be informed. I understand certain circumstances the woman would not want anyone to know, but it has to be more then "i am embrassed of anyone finding out".

Now i don't know where this law lands with that. Since it is talking about somethngs i don't understand or have the time too. But abortions in general are more complicated and absolutely not black and white. I just feel abortions should not be a form of birth control, father should at least be informed under normal circumstances, parents notified if under age, therapeutic counsiling. abuse or rape should be marked on the abortion paperwork as to why they feel parents or father shouldn't be notified. Valid reason would be; abuse, rape, unknown father, life threatening etc. A lot of thought should go into this decision and abortions should be discouraged, not because they are wrong, but because it shouldn't be a easy decision.

I'm for the required notification of the father, I'm not for the requirement that he needs to agree on a disposal method insofar as that it could delay the procedure beyond the time frame in which it is allowed to be performed and therefore forfeit the right for it to be performed in the first place.

IMO, the decision should be counted as null if not settled in a timely manner and default to the mother's choice.
