Keep in mind that most people who answer the poll are 10 or 11 years old. To them, they've only ever really known PS4/Xbox One.

I'm sure you remember, I was just exaggerating that part. And nearly 40%, while a minority, is not a negligible one, and imo isn't accurate. I'm sure lots of people never owned one, but I just find it hard to believe at nearly 40%.

Then again, could be because you had to buy five of them to get one that worked.

Alot of my friends who were the super nerds had ps3. The PS4 tho, everyone i know has one.

xbox 360 was one of the greatest consoles of all time.

the period between 05 and 09 were amazing, it was just nonstop hits and classics one after another. bioshock, gears of war, halo 3, oblivion, fallout 3, CoD4, GTAIV, Mass Effect 1 and 2, orange box, fable 2, etc. just a nonstop stream of great xbox games and great PC games that you would have never seen on a console until the xbox joined into the market.

there was even a decent selection of japanese games and the xbox 360 apparently gained a reputation as a niche otaku console in Japan.

unfortunately after 09 the system fell off (IMO) and gaming entered into that really bad phase where it was nothing but annual franchises, DLC started getting big, there were online passes, etc.

honestly i feel bad for anyone who missed that system, the 360 was sick and i enjoyed it far more than the ps3

Went through eight of them. Damn RRoD.

I bought the first one we had refurbished online in 2008. It RRoD within the warranty. Got a replacement for that and it lasted till 2010. When it died I just bought a Slim. And it still gets used a lot in the past 7 years and I have had zero issues with it. I think I benefited from buying a 360 late in it's life cycle, because I've heard horror stories like yours from a lot of people.
