What do you believe is wrong with Kushner and doesn't the whole ACA thing have to do more with all the republicans being on the same page? Can Trump on an executive order actually get rid of ACA if he wanted to?

Yea I felt the whole thing was just done in a rushed and sloppy matter. If he really wanted that thing to stick, he should have done it in more creative ways while being aided by legal loopholes.

It sours relationships with his neighbors. Free trade is also a general Republican policy and it may hurt some of the support from moderates. It is also bad for the economy.

He isn't pushing hard enough on the new (or revised, or whatever) healthcare bill on the things that really matter that he promised while running, like buying cross-state insurance coverage. He also really screwed up basic administrative stuff in his first 100 days due to inexperience, and his "surprise" rollout of the first travel ban was just stupid. In general, he tends to sabotage his own success by tweeting about stupid shit that gives the media an excuse to cover that instead of his actual progress, and about half of his appointments are appalling (although the other half are spot on).

I think the reason he isn't working on healthcare personally is quite simply because he has too many things to do, and his fundamental understanding of how making a bill and passing it through congress just isn't 'there'. In summary, he probably wants to do those things he says, but he just can't. So he's just ignoring it and letting congress do whatever.

Oh, I know. About half the main republican talking points are on issues IMO he personally doesn't give a shit about, so he does these half-assed "pushes" for things like defunding planned parenthood, or rewriting healthcare, so he can say he tried, but all it does is bog down congress in these long-running fights that won't actually resolve anything.
