The fraternities at the college I graduated from were a bunch of dudes with no game at all that somehow always got the hottest girls because apparently being a frat dude gives you "status" or something.

Frats are for douchebags and sororities are for hoes, almost exclusively.

Mostly negative. There were some who were nice people, but overall it seemed to encourage a horrible douchey culture that sometimes even goes so far as to qualify as "rape culture" tbh

And what was also sad was how many girls seemed gleefully eager to run to these guys, like cattle cheerfully running into the slaughterhouse. Honestly I think girls that age need to be made more aware of how a lot of these frat or jock types speak about them.

we never raped anyone and our house is specifically a 'save haven' for victims of sexual assault (brotherhood completed training, has boarded victims who are being re-connected with their families, etc)

Yeah I mostly agree, but I do think there was a lot of naivety by some of the females as to exactly what many of the particularly douchey male's intentions were. That was just my own observation. I knew a lot of really really sheltered people growing up, having sex before graduating high school was quite unusual in these kinds of circles.

eh i am not so sure about that. most people masturbate. most people know what sex is, whether they had it when mom and dad were gone for the night or not

i think a lot of girls play dumb when pursuing the high status guys because it's kind of hard to say "yeah so i let that guy fuck me so he'd bring me to the dated party" without feeling bad about yourself

i think as women age they get more comfortable admitting to both themselves and others that they're not fucking guys because 'it got out of control' or 'it just happened' but because they planned it and wanted something out of it (possibly just an orgasm but usually something else too)

Halloween party, my buddy invites me to their party. Douche is hammered and rolling at 9pm and grabbing under girls costumes.

The others decided he's gotta go to his room or all the girls will start leaving. Hour later I peak in, he's passed out.

I decide to creep in and piss all over him, soak his bed with warm Natty Ice piss.

Next morning my buddy tells me how douche pissed himself so bad he bought a new mattress. To this day he thinks it was himself who pissed the bed.

i honestly think you are underestimating the degree to which people maintain a facade

a sizable chunk of my partners were very religious girls. it didn't change whether sex happened, it changed whether it happened on the first night i met them or a few weeks later after i brought them to some high-status event

It depends upon how Greek life behaves on campus. I actually lived with several frat brothers in school and didn't know for years because Greek life was pretty low key. Apparently that wasn't always the case. A couple years before I got there frat behavior on campus had become such an issue that the school dissolved a couple of them and remanded all of their campus housing, forcing them to set up their own housing arrangements off campus if they wanted to live together. They still got up to some mess my freshman year too, as they were the primary source of alcohol to underage students. One frat also pulled several dorm fire alarms across campus at midnight in the middle of a snowstorm as a prank. Now that I've left school, the only time I hear about them is when they do something terrible or someone dies of alcohol poisoning at one of their functions.

So yeah, either they're invisible and I knew nothing about them or they're fucking up.

Yo, I'm gonna assume you're white, but you can correct me if you're black, and I'm hoping you or someone else can explain what is this thing about white guys doing nasty shit to people when they fall asleep. I've got a few white friends who all have some similar story about pulling their dicks out or drawing a dick on someone who is out cold. Getting raped when you're asleep is supposed to be extreme, but that's like a legit fear people have, too.

I have read this topic title like 4 times now and each time I read it as "Farts."
I have a positive view of farts.
Frats though, I used to have the popular negative view that was formed from media but once I knew some frats and frat people I saw they were not that bad and a lot of them are just a community that helps each other and don't cause trouble. The partying aspect is pretty typical of any group of certain young people.

Hmm okay. That's pretty interesting. It's very different from my personal experience, but I believe you. Also by the time I was 20 I was in a very different place so part of it might be that I'm basically going off of 18-19 year olds. I imagine it would be different as people got a little older.
