i genuinely had no idea who the guy was until i saw his face on a Rolling Stone cover a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't seen or heard about him since then until this whole GoT fiasco. and when i saw the GoT episode i didn't even think twice about that scene until the next morning when i went online.

some people really just don't pay attention to pop music.

He is a UK singer and I know almost NO uk singers.

The shape of you is not a song I recognize by name, perhaps I would recognize it if I heard it randomly, but certainly not by name.

Even if I DID recognize Shape of You by name I would not necessarily know who actually sings that song.
