There is a limit to how efficient you can make a a piece of soft metal fly out the end of a hard barrel, and I feel like we are close to reaching that limit. There is a limit to how efficiently you can make an optical sight for a gun, but I get the impression we are still a ways off from that. It's a bit unbalanced though. Since I cut and sanded a bit off the butt is fine but stock it's pretty unbalanced.
